  1. Krypto.... You need to get a life, I don't answer to you...you wanted to buy a book from me, you didn't pull the trigger, I sold the book early this morning. In my humble opinion sounds like sour grapes to me on your part. I do however want to respond to the rest of the members on here interested in hearing the truth, not some one sided conspiracy theory . I have sold.... I am certain more copies of Avengers #57 over the last 37 years Kryto has, no dought many, many more . This is not the same copy....period ! Unless you can prove this beyond any dought ( which is impossible since it is a different copy) I would strongly suggest you back off. I have been on the boards enjoying the threads and the comradery of a lot of awesome boardies, there are a lot of great peole here . I have really enjoyed buying, and selling from many of you on boards without a hitch. This board belongs to everyone, not a bunch of self appointed cyber jerks like Krypto. I was talking with another boardie last night telling him how much I enjoyed the community feeling on the boards, and how much I appreciated the dealings on my recent thread, as oppossed to my 1st thread. My 1st thread was ruined by a few "cyber police" / " Board Drama queens" from Florida . I also was castised because of dealings with "Cap Freak" even though he ripped me off . None of the "hecklers" ever apologized even though it became obvious I had done nothing wrong regarding the sale with Cap Freak. A few people made casual mention about how I was rail roaded...but not one of the cowards that were throwing bricks( like tupenny conan) had the gutts to apologize. I think some of these guys enjoy making trouble on here for no real reason. Follow your instincts here...I have done nothing wrong and I will not make a career out of defending myself against what I consider to be members with "no life"...and a penchant for causing problems like Krypto, and some of his Posse...what a joke, especially if this the way you handle a situation ! Anyone else that has had to deal with these knuckle heads is incouraged to come forward and post here...especially during your 1st week on the boards. I will contact the mods regarding this as I will not completely drop to Krpto's level of behavior.
  2. Some one better remind Farve that he is older than gator....or the Vikings might win the Superbowl........................!!! Whew after all this football you could have at least brought some of that "Sweet Tea" you guys rave about Rick
  3. I like this splash page depicting an angry board member that has just taken revenge on another board member for taking to long to send him a comic he had purchased from him * angry member is gentleman holding head*
  4. I had written something the other day and erased it because I figured you were getting too many posts. But I'll try and say it again. I'm sure you have a lot to contribute and it would be nice to have you join in, you might enjoy it and we will most probably learn from each other:) . However, if you chose not to, you have to take into consideration that this is a community and not just a sales venue. When someone shows up and posts things that seem to be in a rush, it gets people's hackles up, we do try and look out for each other. As for the different threads, for most of us, we are here to stay and therefore not in such a rush, so finishing one thread and starting another is not such a big deal. It's really not so much a selling venue as a collector's board, so selling is not the primary goal for most of us. With that said, for those who have been asking, I did get the WW6, it looks very nice, was packed well...and I am sending it off today to have it graded (express). Tom and Gus have guaranteed that there is no restoration and I am going to just have it graded quickly so we can make sure of that. I will post the results as soon as I get them. ...and before you all start laughing, YES, this is the first time I've sent in a book all by myself...although I have given them in ...in person at shows;) Excellent Post !!! (thumbs u Excellent post!!!
  5. off. Is that considered contributing in a positive manner? If so, off and yo' mama can off too.
  6. That depends. Can you please post a link to any positive contributions you have made while posting here?
  7. AW 9? (thumbs u That gorgeous 6.0 copy too..miss it already but glad to help a fellow boardie trying to complete the AW run. Now I have 3,7,9,10,11(almost),12, 15 . Thanks again Dino! that was my ole AW 9 Wes, and Dr. Franks previously...very nice copy...Should be a 7.0+ if not for the staple holes in the upper left (likely a FILE copy)..congrats I don't know this person here above me. My old copy was a CGC 9.9
  8. Shad, you crack me up. How do you think people in the restoration business got to the point where they are called professional? They spent alot of time, and ruined alot of books, that's how. Those who get better at it are the ones who learn from their mistakes. We are all guilty of being ignorant of diffrerent things until we spend the proper steps required to be considered otherwise. Mutilating comics?... rank beginner? The Thrill of it?.. ...you crack me up! Shad, I was once rank I suppose...but I have around 30 hours of actuall on hand pressing experience under my belt already.I have made paper from scratch during my art school days, I have read as much as possible about this topic. I am only doing this with the sole purpose of learning more about it through different types of pressing excersises, there is no thrill involved. I am taking it to the next logical step...when do I qualify to become a full jedi?..let me know your criteria, ok? Your analogy comparing pressing books and drawing comics is laughable at best. Drawing takes skill, even other forms of real restoration takes a degree of artistic skill. Sure you can get better at both with practice, but I know for a fact I could spend 5 hours a day drawing and never draw anything of worth...On the other hand pressing comics is more about tools, and the knowledge of how to best utilize those tools...oh.. and practice, practice, practice. I work with my hands, I have a way with tools. Pressing involves tools and materials I am familiar with.. Why is that so hard for you to understand? I know my limitations, this is not one of them. You should know yours too and stay out of my threads unless you actually have something worthwhile to contribute. And thnx for my 1 star rating!! Ze- Bravo Ze-man...that guys post gave me gas!

He used to have all the Actions 1-100 ? He also used to have a lot of great stuff at great prices? What ever happened to that guy ? He was a big Florida Gator's fan even when they weren't any good ?
