I believe issues 8 and 7 are the only books left in the thread.

I am so grateful for these boards. I’ve turned to them many times over the years in good times and bad and was met with kindness and kinship. I’ve met some truly remarkable people here. Some lifelong friends. It feels good and right to release these books back to “the boards”. Many of you PMed me over the years whenever an All Select popped up because you knew I was trying to put together the run. If I didn’t say it then, I’ll say it now. I appreciate it and Thank You.

All Select 1 CGC 1.5 C/OW $6500 The best war cover of the GA, hands down. (In my humble opinion.). I just don’t know how it could have been made better. Just an awesome cover. I struggled on how to price this one. No 1.5s sold in 10 years. 1.8 sold for 8225, but a 2.0 went for 6115. Don’t mind hanging onto this one. Census numbers still pretty anemic at 62 blues.

I got that reference!!! Love that show!

Stone cold

All Select 2 CGC 2.0 Slightly Brittle Pages $1700 I bought this book raw and had it slabbed. I flipped through it and read it, so it’s not but sooo fragile. I think the very bottom edge is a bit fragile. It does have a subscription crease like it was stored folded for awhile. But sweet baby jeebus look at this cover! Schomburg nuttiness at its finest! In most top tens as being one of the best war covers of the GA. Great presenter for 2.0. Prolly the best looking copy of this book you’ll find for the price. 29 on the census.

I say “young”. My youngest is 11 and my oldest 14. Both cute little blondes that think they’re 20. (Well at least the 14 year old does.). I’ve had em on my own for 6 years. It does NOT get easier gents.

I feel like you guys are going to put a hit out on me if I don’t get these books listed.

Ok. I’m so sorry. Another brief interlude. I’m also a single dad with two young daughters. Apparently, it is time for me to put the middle-schoolers hair up in braids.

Funnybooks in under the wire!

All Select 3 CGC 5.0 C/OW $2100 Next to the last book I got for my run. I looked for years for a copy. When this one popped up, I really couldn’t afford it. I swallowed hard and lived off Peanut butter sammys for about a month. I know I keep saying this but until you live it trying to put together this run, you just don’t know. (And from what I understand USA is even worse...) Only 25 copies on census.

If you guys will indulge me, another note. Issue 4 was the last issue I acquired for my run. About 4 years ago. Won’t name the seller for privacy reasons, but I know where all of these came from. I was always so grateful that I could find one! They were more plentiful on the boards even 10 years ago.

All Select 4 CGC 3.5 OW pages $1300 Only motor cycle cover of the run. Just killer, killer Schomburg artwork. Really great presenter here. New slab. I had it re-slabbed out of that god awful pressure slab. Census says 30 blue copies. Good luck tracking one down for less than a few mortgage payments.

Something else that’s interesting about these books everyone except for issue 5 came off the boards. Issue 5 was the first All select I bought over a decade ago and is still showing as last sale in GPA for 3.0. Just seems right that my run get dispersed back onto the boards.

Getting into the cream of the crop.

I’m back and prepping to list. For those that are nosebleed level collectors, my whole run is low to mid-grade. My highest grade book was a 6.0 and that’s the one I can’t list. (Curse you Voldemort!!!). There won’t be any surprise top of census books. Though all books are complete and unrestored.

Have to take a long break unfortunately. I'm caring for my elderly parents and I need to check on them. To be continued.

All Select 5 CGC 3.0 OW $1500 Just a killer cover. Probably my second favorite of the run. This one hasn’t been pressed. Big time pressable defects evident. It has a tear on the back cover that is holding it back, but I still think this would improve. Old label “fatty” holder. Very few sales on this book. GPA is pretty much no help on these books. No sales in two years listed in GPA. They just don’t seem to come up.

Just throwing it out there, PMs are welcome but I’m going to list all books before entertaining offers.
