  1. My guess is 250 out of the 290+ would be 7-9 easy. With probably several dozen at 9 Of the Amazing Man run, only issue 5 makes it (as an 8). But that's not actually the scarcest issue in the run, is it? My guess is 5 is a 7 at best. Ive seen dozens of copies over the years 26 is a 9 25 is likely a 9, maybe an 8 22 is an 8 24 is an 8 12-21 likely 7s 5-11 likely 7s

  3. pending copy paid for today...upto 89 So I take it there are still no signs of the book slowing down? -J. I take it he would have zero incentive to tell people HERE it is even if it was. I made $25 profit on the sale today...it's not "hard" to give books away at great prices...but as the book continues to escalate in price, it is both harder to buy them, and sell them... but, I am a more motivated seller, as I am trying to reach that 100 mark...once I get there, I will "slow" down and carry my typicaly 6-10 copies...no more having 40 in stock...whew... With a little extra oomph, you might be able to sell 181 copies in one year. 1 every 2 days
  4. no. batman struck me as one of those sesame street games "one of these things are not like the other...one of these things, doesn't belong" ... but great grouping of books

  6. Is this your now Jeff? I was close, but couldn't pull it off...glad jeff did
  7. upto 88 sold, and one more pending tomorrow...100 here we come (maybe by Baltimore )
  8. As you know Ha.com sold a 5.5 with INFERIOR page quality in November 2014 for almost $45,000. The book and its value is all about the page quality. this is gonna come close to 75K prediction. cr/ow is the golden age accepted medium. Better pq might be worth 10% more to some. Not 80% more (again IMO. Just as much probability I'm wrong as right )
  9. Upto last month I had an ow/w 5.0 priced at 41995 and nary a taker till I discounted a few grand. A 5.5@ 75 is crazy , IMO. But we all know there is "crazy" out there!
  10. It's still 15-20k short of where it is likely to end...bids at his point mean nothing (thumbs u
  11. your guess on the 5.5 at CC? Gator says $55k is a strong price so how does one go against his opinion. It's a nice book. I can see it getting that price though. the last 5.5 went at just under 45k 10 months ago. Has it appreciated 20% in under a year? It's trending that way... In August (one month ago) we sold a 5.0 at 40k ish. Also in August we sold a really nice (5.0 eye appeal) 3.5 for 35k (sold a 3.5 earlier this year at 25k). So 50-55k is a great estimate but no one knows the final price unless they are potentially willing to bid that much and they are potentially the top bidder
  12. I rather have a cat in a hat than in a box...maybe try a fox.
  13. it will go for more than $1000 I suspect....I remember a few years ago buying the Cosmic A copy for 3300 or so (8.0)...always a high demand book...so even though only a 4.0, entry level is 4 figures....
  14. posted this in the MM rarity thread, but looking for some rough values if anyone can help...
  15. ok...I need some help folks...a customer brought these into the store to sell...but I have no clue on value...any help is appreciated... thanks rick
