  1. Misquote or does he really believe it? Agree or disagree? Which one will go highest tonight? A1 or T27 ... the A1 should kill a 3 sided trimmed tec27... if both were equal grades, the A1 would still win (imo) Considered how the T27 in question actually fills out the inner well in a "normal" way, it must be micro-micro trim. its not noted as "cover" trimmed, but "edges"...that typically means interior book trimmed too... The C-cnect Action 1 (mod 7.0) was clearly the better book relative to the triple trimmed tec27 (mod 8.0). Yet they roughly hammered out at 140K and 170K, with "only" a 30K margin. What does that indicate to you as regards the reciprocal strength of the big two? Is action still a hair above when this sale is considered? The action closed about 50k higher than anticipated and the Tec about 40k higher. Both books are strong but action 1 is still king.
  2. Pretty much sums it up, with 28 as non bat cover exception. 38 trails 28 but ahead, in value to 30,32,34,36,37
  3. there are always periods of regret...most everything I have sold , at one point or another I have managed to replace...so while there was regret in between, there really isn't any book I have truly regretted to the point I have not been able to reacquire.... the only book that I would regret not having or not being able to replace would be my first comic...silver surfer #1...that, for a period of time, I thought was lost, but we found it about 10 years ago...only comic I have from my childhood and ultimately, probably the only comic I would , today, regret not having
  4. I have never desired to own one, now that I think about it...plenty of opps, just always passed ... goofy cover. Only 5 or 10 known to exist I think? Marvel 1 is the first newsstand app of Subby anyways. I think 9 or 10 have been documented so far (in a thread here on the boards)... just yes, just no desire to own (kind of like red raven, for me) I know a fair amount of folks who love RR1 no doubt...I'm just not one of them (thumbs u

  7. Misquote or does he really believe it? Agree or disagree? Sure there are , and a copy happens to surface in practically every one of CConnect's Event Auctions there are certainly more than 100 copies of action 1 in existence.... Vincent knows this...are we sure they quoted him properly? or maybe he was referring to high grade copies, then sure there is less than 100 high grade action 1s out there (IMO)

  9. good question... I believe I have owned 12 action 1's and 17 detective 27's at this point...but I might be one off , exercised my brain a bit too much And none of them found their way to my comic box I was thinking the same heck i would settle for a Funny Pages 40

  15. There are many folks that could assist you with that purchase. I'd be happy to be on the top of the list and go from there
  16. the Larson copy of action 1 is where abouts unknown... It's whereabouts are known and my understanding is the same as nearmint -- that's it's an 8.0 or so. Where abouts are unknown to me
  17. Can't remember where I heard it. I think I had just googled Action Comics #1 Larson and it was in a stream of articles about pricy books and someone had posted it was missing a coupon, but nobody could confirm. As I've never seen a scan/picture of it I really have no idea. But as its one of the few pedigree Action 1s it has interested me for some time. I believe crowzilla knows the story behind the Larson 1...maybe it has an interior coupon cut out?
  18. the Larson copy of action 1 is where abouts unknown... I once heard the cover was cleaned (like some of the other early actions, 7 most notably)... there is no coupon or mail in cut out on back cover of action 1... there is on the all American 16, which I believe the Larson 16 has had cut...
  19. *poof* you say I can't imagine anyone poofing in General, ...pooting or pooping maybe, but poofing, ...that's just wrong! Certainly worth exploring
  20. While I "hope" not I do believe it will (for obvious reasons)
  21. Since I did just check , I guess I will stop at 49,999 then I won't have to think About it hehe
