  1. I've never made 100 of 100. Hit 99/100 many times. Hit 95/96/97 even 98 in a row many times, but that elusive perfect free throw century has always eluded me (for 40 years)
  2. but the top 2 teams represent 50% of the final four... and 3 out of 8 in elite... I'd say pretty good representation Who was the 3rd? I think he was thinking Tennessee, but they lost in the Sweet Sixteen to Michigan. Just short of the Elite Eight. Close enough Might of been an Elite Eight match-up for UT and UK if not for a questionable charge call on Stokes with 6 seconds left in that Michigan game. Usually, refs don't like to determine the outcome of games in the final seconds (but they did twice in this tourney...just ask Arizona about Wisconsin). Charge or not stokes lost ball and mich easily would have (actually did) recover .
  3. There is no set %. For some books 20% might be accurate. For some books no copy is in the census. For other books could be 50% or more. No generic formula I'm afraid

  6. give UConn credit, they outplayed us....unfortunate that perhaps our worst game of the year was tonight, but that's the way it goes sometimes....we overachieved, but were hopeful that we could avenge our only 2 losses... top 4 is not too shabby for having, very likely, no NBA player on the court (Young might find work in the NBA, we'll see)
  7. Was that the Church copy, rick? Nope. Non ped.
  8. He's sold some undercopies but that's all so far
  9. didn't think 33s were in your scope. Nice I've always had a soft spot for Tec #33 when I first put my tec run together some 10 years ago, tec 33 was the book I sought "first"....it was "old school" thinking (since I had not actively collected since the mid 90's, upon my return 10 years ago)... I quickly realized, in our cgc cover centric world, that I should have gone after 31/29/35 first, but never regretted owning a nice 33! I'm definitely old fixed that for ya (thumbs u
  10. I wonder what it will command. Seriously gorgeous copy. Yes. Highest graded by a mile. I'm sure Eric Roberts will be VERY interested in it. nope, he is pretty much done collecting comics (at least that's what he told me not too long ago)... I would be shocked if he was a bidder on it...

  12. Later golden age ww (issues 45-78) go for huge premiums if in fn or better. Lower grade are not too much in demand but try putting run together in 7.0 or higher and you are 2-3x
  13. That seems to be the direction the market is headed, if it hasn't reached that point already. Throw out the entry .5 and the uber high grades, 8.5 higher, in the middle area, looks about 14K a point, less if the book is skanky, and more, if the book has great eye appeal, IMHO Agreed. Entry-level 0.5's are approaching 10K per-ticket, and higher graded copies do not come cheap. In retrospect, I think the 9.2 auctioned off by Heritage was a bargain at $567,625. It was an absolutely beautiful copy. With the HG moderately restored Bat #1 going on ebay for +75K, the blue 9.2 certainly looks like a bargain at 570K it didn't sell...was a bogus bin...
  14. funny my best estimate is that a nice 3.0 would retail for $10k+ right now...
  15. The very elusive amf1/4 just showed up on eBay
