Have you come across any new ones lately? Were there any copies at the New York show this weekend? I have been offered several copies lately, passed... I was watching Florida football this weekend (and every weekend in the fall)...don't goto shows (miss Balt every year, and this year NY) You mean you were "nervously" watching Gator f'ball this weekend... - Arkansas boy frustrated is more like it... I hate to say it, but the Gators are starting to look more like the 2005 USC Trojans as the season goes on - a dominant team that gets knocked off in a big game due to underperformance on one side of the ball. For the Trojans, their D was an issue, but I think it is the O that is the problem for the Gators. this past weekend, it was tebow holding onto the ball too long...4 of the 6 sacks were easily avoidable... our Oline is fine (thumbs u (heck, we had the #2 rushing attack in the country)

back in the early 90's, a construction worker that worked on the Crippen house, supposedly "cherry" picked the better comics and they were brough to market... they became the "d" copies because of the "d- xxx-xxxx" code written on the top of the first splash page (no cover "d" designate the crippins, but the "d" code written on the interior)... the girth of the collection was located and brought to market in 2006/7 by heritage, etc...at that point, all the "d" copies were now realized to be part of the "d"avis crippen collection... as to where some copies have gone, anyone's guess...

The D collection has been recognized since a small batch of books came to market in the early 90's....cgc has recognized them since 2000 inception...they used to just be labeled D now they are Crippen since we learned of their origin (thumbs u

nice book... the "D" copies are the Crippen copies (as you know) and feature coding on the front page... cgc would have already noted if it was the crippen, but congrats none the less...upgrading is always fun!

Was this copy to be held in his private collection, or is the buyer most likely to flip it? Sounds like a flipper (I really don't know) if he is willing to pay the premium for a raw 8.5 or 9.0. Rick probably has a better sense. one thing the GA crowd knows about me, that the SA crowd might not (well, except Nik, rest in peace, he knew) is that folks LOVE to buy my 8.0's and 8.5's raw.... I sold Nik several 8.0's and 8.5's and all came back 9.0 and 9.2 from cgc
