  1. timing is really the key...there have been 8 copies of issue #70 available in the past few months...61 is easy, just pricey (at least 5 copies available right now)...my 29 (that I am selling) is only a 2.5, my 20 is a 3.5 with SP...I have actually had the good forturne to find and buy 3 copies of 46, but price is rediculous on them...I bought the only 16 I have ever seen for sale (though I have stopped looking, so not sure about now) 36 is rarely ever offered for sale...I have 2 copies of 37, but both are low grade.... largely, I agree with what everyone has said
  2. I was unaware that there are any very scarce Caps. 8, 36, 46 are scarce in the sense that no one seems to sell them
  3. Fixed it for you. oh, I would love to see them au natural, but since the question was posed "about slabbing" figured I would taylor my response that way I am very appreciative of bz collection, and others I get to see soon enjoying and sharing is my fav pasttime! Between getting them slabbed and seeing "full" scans I'd be happier seeing full scans. And it would be cheaper as well. how about full scans of the comic in a slab, though you are right, it won't be cheaper

  5. nice, assuming the top edge is as clean as the rest, you got some high grade, slab worthy beauties there
  6. and, unless he is selling, I don't see the point to grade either...I cgc all my books for the resto check, but if bang bought them 30years ago, probably pretty safe that they are resto free, or bought at a price that resto won't affect "value"
  7. one of the main purposes of a backer board, other than support for the comic, is as an acid buffer (absorb from the comics)...you won't get that with a clear mylar etc, but you need the buffered "cardboard"...something that is hygroscopic and will absorb acids released over time from the pulp/comic
  8. man, it looks like you were trying to influence him viamentally!!! that is just scary, I tell you he just made you think that and then type it. then he must be telepathically sending me this: I will send rick my AFM 2/10, as a token of my appreciation and gratitude for the extraordinary person that he is... Yep....what a crazy kidder I am!!!

  11. you were subconsciously influenced two weeks ago by this one. oh, there was nothing subconscious about it....it was full frontal lobe induced!...but, outside of the 4 or 5 I pointed out on pons' couch, those are likely the only cheslers I will try to get to refute pons again, I won't be collecting this publisher to any great extent, even though I hear parkers runs are great (and his comics too)
  12. Congrats! No wonder you forgot to ask me again, ...I was wondering...that's much nicer than mine:) I was waiting on you to let me know (I told you I wouldn't bug you anymore ) , but in the interim, this one was offered to me, and really at a great price!
  13. thanks guys...I really had no overwhelming urge to buy cheslers (outside of the precursor centaurs), but when gary posted this one, it just struck me!
  14. I can resist anything but peer pressure! hope to see up close and personal real soon wow, just a stunning copy!
  15. Incredible book...Highest graded copy! and, dare I say, undergraded GE (thumbs u thanks...I wasn't looking for a high grade copy, just the only one I found for sale... and, pretty cheap, too, IMO! Killer copy Rick. thanks...since it is not a slabbed ped, it is getting cracked...unlike DC's and timelys where I read them once and then slabbed (which has come in handy since I have to sell some of them) , centaurs are goodness to be enjoyed over and over...here is my twilight copy v2/8
  16. thanks...wait till you see my next delivery post in a few days Standing by your mailbox?
  17. unlikely! I suspect years I don't think there are any AMF 2/1,2/2, 2/4,2/5 or 2/6's for sale anywhere right now, nor have I seen recently?...but, when/if they do come up...look out! gotta love the 2/2, one great cover
  18. thanks...wait till you see my next delivery post in a few days
