  1. Thanks for posting all the great Kintsler work. Didn't realize the extent and range of his comic work. Great stuff!!!
  2. I feel like Rip van Winkle. Was I asleep? Make Pre-code Horror Prices Great Again!
  3. Some absolutely gorgeous books posted here! I have to wonder, though, how do you people respond so quickly? Do you have all these scans catalogued with keywords? I'm amazed folks can pull together themed pictures so fast! Great stuff! Found a few...please forgive if some are edging toward Silver... This is probably the first "old" comic I picked up, because of the crazy fantastic Kirby thinking shark story...
  4. The Man! What a master! It's amazing to see how far his style developed. I wonder if he knows how much his work is appreciated? Thanks for posting this!
  5. A couple notable recent promo comic sales... None of these are mine... From Roller To Bowler This sold on eBay for $129. Very tough book to find and this copy, even though rough, was desirable for the Acme Billiard Supply imprint from 1953 LA, CA. Teach Ye All Nations This sold on Heritage for $777. Very tough book to find. From the collection of the late Phil Levine. Famous Fairy Tales 1942 Sold by Heritage for $1135. Again from Phil's collection.
  6. This one could also go in a romance thread...
  7. They may have just overlooked it. They have slabbed two copies of the Wanamaker variant, but none of the Golden Eagle Toy World version...It's a rare variant of Funnies on Parade, called by many the "first comic book." I just hate to see incorrect info get out there. It gets quoted and repeated all over the net. For example, trying to find out whether Harvey's Strange Story comic was ever actually published, there were numerous sources that all quoted the same incorrect Overstreet listing.
  8. Great thread, Gino! Love all the well-loved books posted here!
  9. Some things here are definitely UNTAMED...
