Ok, so now explain me somethings. The modern comics books worth nothing! Everytime we speak about that, the first reason as mentionned is that since the 90s people started to buy many and many copies of the books and keep them like jewelry, so now there is just too much books on the market and logically that kill the value. Ok so now the point is: WHY IN THIS POOR OCEAN WE HAVE SOME KEYS THAT RISE TO THE SURFACE? If we consider what i explained, nevermind a book present a new charachters or something like that why would it go up in value if everyone as buyed this book like all the others when he was on the shelf?? For exemple why batman 635 worth so much if everyone was able to buy them at the time and put them in a box...? The only expensive books i can understand why they are is this freakings variants cover because is literally the principle to make them uncommon. Hope your understand my interrogation.

So i continue to read my collection, its just amazing! Now already readed 5 batman issues, you can see them on my instagram page! The last book i had read was batman 431 THE WALL, the story start with an investigation about the death of a woman, but I'm not going to explain everything... i just want to speak about this books for one things! So the story start slowly and there is a moment when batman come to the house of a guy involved in the case, he gets attacked by 4 ninja assasins and we assit to one of the craziest fight scene of all time, i found a picture that regroup every page of the fight look this amazing brawl!!!

I recently invested in a great quantity of books and contrary to what i thinked (because i know well the seller) he said me after sended, he dont bags and boards the books and i not predicted that. Now i realize is probably a more reasonable option to take rest into my purchases of comics to spend some money to maintain the ones i already have. I think on a long duration is really better to now invest a little bit to keep my books safe for life. Actually the books will be going in bags by set of 12 i think i cannot leave them into it. What did you think of that?

As i have said i payed more too, but im feel so happy to collected them as i did, dealing, searching for hours best offer, buy in many different place! Thats just so more satisfaying than just put money on table and get the whole lot. (For me)

Oh yes you cannot imagine, you know my opinion on that auction come of the fact i payed near than the double of the price and i consider to not had payed too much for these books. (Ok when i say i payed the double i count all the crazy delivery fees but even considering that i think have payed more for the books than this guy who win the auction ) And i have to add something, i estimate my collection and i paid not more than the value he's worth and even with the delivery fees! If you sell every books one by one it worth really more than that! (Ok sell books at retail take a lot of time but other than that its worth it) I already selled books sometime in my country and you not imagine how much people can pay for comic books LOL. I will be able to easily make benefits while i spent tens of dollars for delivery, people are crazy here... but i dont selled a lot of time, just sometimes when i buy some lots and there into few books not interest me)

SPOILER: batman crying. Can you believe?

Finally i choosed the Green Lantern, an amazing deal, i couldn't leave them. A lot of the 1990 series from 14 to 137 (only 8 books missing) for just 200 dollars! 1.75 dollar by issue. “In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil’s might, beware my power, Green Lantern’s light.” So happy. Just finished my instagram page too (share the link this evening here) i will put every book i read into. i started yesterday to read my collection with a particullary special book, BATMAN 423! I hearded before about this one that is a very conventional story, just a famous cover. But i seems to be not difficult to be satisfayed, i just loved the story! this is the first comics i readed and im starting to realize how much is the best investment i does of my life, comic books is just one of the most beautiful art on this world. I LOVE IT!!!

Its many days i followed an auction on ebay to see how much people are going to pay for it: batman 404 to 486 complete except the hush saga and some randome issues between 450 to 475. The biddee as win it for 710 dollars... its just so cheap for all this stuff! What do you think of it?

Yesterday i was able to put near 200 dollars to continue my collection, so is a terrible hesitation now, what i does? -Definitly complet my batman run? -Continue Superman vol2.? -Start GL vol3.? One of my friend have an online shop where its some very great deals an more of that there some sales on his website finishing this evening, so there 1 day to profit of it, so i have to take a decision now of what books i choose! I work with Ebay too, there is some very good deal on this place, i buyed like 75% of my batman run over there.

Congrats to you its a so amazing run! Personally already have every of this issues. I estimate you can finish it for not more than 100 dollars if you find great deals. For me the issues missing are: 404 to 416, 421, 422, 424, 425, 456, 530-532, 535, 550, 570, 599, 604 and 652.

Someones on this forum have already met me and know my project but this topic is to share to all the people on this forum intersted by collecter story. So 6 month past after had saved money since 1years, i started my comics collection. This is a really specific project, the idea is to collect entire series post crisis (1987) until the flashpoint (2011) but only of my favourites charachters. After a lot of negotiations, hours and hours of research on Ebay, to find everytime the better deals. I pratically finished on may the first guys with who i started, the boss of all, the guys who has the greatest number of keys and famous runs: THE BATMAN. I actually have 283 issues on the 310 (between 404 and 713) and i have almost every keys! I absolutely wanted to started with batman because its the most expensive to complete and now i can relax Just few days ago after a lot of questionning between me and mei finally put the money on the table and took the path with the man of steel: SUPERMAN. I buyed to a really good price the first 100 issues from the volume 2. (I choosed one series from all because its just not conceivable to have more than 1000 books of superman in my house LOL. Im going to read the others on digital to follow the story. And because like i say i already collected the most expensive charachters now its not a problem for me to scatter myself and start many charachters on the same time, its why i buyed too the 4th volume of Green Lantern, its one month now i started to being crazy with that Geoff Johns Stuff, look like so amazing with all this Lantern corps of many different colors and emotion, with a so great impact on all the DC line! For this one too i does a great deal and there is only 2 issues to complete the run! Im going to read the green lantern corps and the other derivative series and crossover online. So for green Lantern is started with the end but we can admiss Johns litteraly rebooted the story so its ok. I will buy the volume 3 too, this series is really cheap to complete so its not urge. Its really intersting me too, the Ron Marz Run seems to be a really under estimated, starting with the amazing story of Parallax, that make me hungry also! I dont want to have 1000 book of superman in my house and im going to just read the other series online, so i have to take a decision.

During the Triangle Era mant differents titles was connected and you have to read every of them to understand the story. But only in a collecting vision who considered as the main title? Adventures of superman or Superman Vol 2. Adventures of superman keeped the original numbering but superman vol2 have the more intuitive name and after john byrn wright the new origin in man of steel he's continued on the volume 2 first issues. So i think in a collection option its more logic to take the vol2 than Adventures. Are you on the same advice?

For first i have to say like everytime the first reason want me to buy these books: is because the story make me so hungry Never buy books just to win money you will always regret it, except if its your work... Ok now, yes i know what you would say dc modern books are not hot on the market and the people invest in are going to lose money... BUT this Run is really really popular and considered the best GL story of all time, the charachter became more appreciated by a lot of people after the run. more of that the lore is just amazing, with the introduction of all this new Lantern Corps with many different colors. And the Art oh my god is just beautiful!
