  1. Gen 13 V1 #1 very nice copy, sharp and bright, has a hint of a stacking curl along the spine, call it VFNM. $3
  2. Gen 13 1/2 in blue Wizard Press binder/folder/portfolio/thing! Binder has a slight warp to it, doesn't lay 100% flat. Otherwise interior is nice, book is not going to come out easily but conservatively if FN/VF range, maybe better. $10 - SOLD! @ender I can't get that last pic to NOT be upside down for some reason.
  3. Ok, let's get started! Tarzan John Carter Warlords of Mars - awesome Blevins cover. VF, light stacking curl, lightest scuffs to white areas. $3
  4. Aside from an obvious distaste for snitches (West Coast Boarder, who are youuuuuu?) these are indeed public forums, and everything said here is easy to find and read. So, I have no problem with that, and would invite the Youtube dude to come here and join a healthy discussion. It's never too late to say "Oops, I made a bad call here" and even delete the video. He doesn't answer to us, or anybody aside from his own conscience, but hopefully the pushback will be instructive and lead to some introspection. Seems unlikely, but you never know! I've mouthed off and made a lot of mistakes when I was a young man. Did some crummy stuff. Everyone gets a second chance. I don't know this guy from anyone else, but if he DOES have a platform, it would be cool to see it used to promote a LOVE of comics, and not cynical clickbait negativity. That stuff just gets me down.
  5. Ok, thread is updated! I scanned about 70-80 books last night, so I've got a big update coming later today. Will probably get into it before lunch. Lots of cheap 90's stuff, gimmick covers, Batman, Gen 13, all of that stuff. Mots are $1-$3. Coming up shortly!

  15. Ok, I've got a few more. Most of these are your typical books, not so much the sexiness. Oh well, can't win them all. Anyway, I've got a dozen or so right now, and tonight I'm planning to scan in another short box or thereabouts, so I'll have one last hurrah tomorrow, for those tuning in. Let's get started!
  16. And then they have the temerity to turn around and mock the social awkwardness of the shop owners.
  17. And all of this speaks to what I think is the biggest problem with this guy, and so many of these youtubers: The sense of entitlement. Like he should be able to film anyone he wants, he should expect people to be receptive to his insincerity, he should be able to make snide comments about their appearance, he should be able to treat people as pawns in his "content", and that should be fine. What a jerk, but unfortunately it's epidemic.
  18. Not just that, but don't you have to have some sort of consent form signed before you can film someone and upload it? Maybe things are different in the Youtube era, I dunno, but it seems like you should. Any twerp that walks into a store with a camera strapped to them would get a similar dismissal from me. Imagine you're there in your store, trying to make your bread, and some entitled schmuck comes in to film you without consent, and posts it online, making a point to complain about how socially awkward you are, or how mean you are, etc. No one asked for that. That's my problem with the entire Youtube thing: everyone assumes that they have an interesting opinion or "hot take" that needs to be heard. It doesn't. No one cares. Shut up. You're not interesting or special. Punk deserves a beat down. Wish the owner had physically tossed him.
  19. Another element affecting the value is the now canceled Netflix series. When the original series announcement came out, prices went crazy, and books disappeared. Primer 2 is already an uncommon book, but adding speculation to the fire, it exploded. Then the announcement came that the series had been canceled before even hitting the air, and prices started to tank. For instance, my Primer is a (lowly!) 9.4. I paid $360 for the book several years ago, raw, and had it slabbed. At the height of the Netflix craze, I think 9.4's were hitting over $2k, like close to $2.5k? Then the cancelation came, and now 9.4's are down to about $1k. It was quite a rollercoaster. I've considered upgrading to a 9.6, now that they're more afforable. I'd love a 9.8, but they're still more than I'm willing to pay. I call my set the "Good Enough Collection". I love the series, I really do, but 9.6's and 9.4's are Good Enough for me.
