  1. Funny part is, it was a graded 9.8 already. I was just hoping the 1989 #1 didn't downgrade, was so worried it'd be a 9.6, didn't even expect the newer lenticular cover to be upgraded. Was a nice surprise.
  2. Just got shipping notice of Neil Gaiman's signature. I had 2 in queue.
  3. Yes I did. I watched multiple videos on how to crack the case. Including the one you linked. But those are not official CGC created videos on how they do it or show the true risk. I don't know their process, since most of my books have the same bend crease in the same area it seems to me the books were mishandled after cracking the slab and not during cracking the slab. Which was what I was trying to get at.
  4. I submitted 10 graded 9.8 comics to CGC and just got them back. I thought I did enough research, read the forums and watched videos. I'm a single series collector and most of my collection is the new holders. But I had about 10, including the most expensive one, in the old holders. I wanted to upgrade the holder. Most of my concern was them being downgraded because they are fairly old, 2014 era, and I have heard they were a little more lenient. However, I have since learned they would honor the old grades as long as there was no evidence of tampering. I read the disclaimer that they could be damaged. I believed that would be pretty rare. I guess one of my bigger complaints as a newbie to submitting to cgc, i couldn't find any information how they remove comics from slabs. Maybe they have a video of how its done? I know they won't show how they press. I feel a bit at a loss here. All of the bends are in roughly the same 2 spots, in the middle of the spine. None (except for 1 barely) are color breaking. I've never pressed a comic or had it done, my only experience is seeing youtube videos, but I *think* they could be pressed out. They all retained their 9.8 grades by the way, but i have never seen 9.8s with ~1-3 spine bends before. They definitely did not have any creases when I sent them in. I can't provide it obviously. But, my favorite issue is Sandman #1. I've had it since 2017 and I've looked at it many times. I immediately noticed it when I was pulling them out of the package. Also, seems like all 10 of my submissions have pictures in the CGC Census, is that normal? Or is it just an auto generated image based on the book.? The pics do have my cert #s. I did not pay for photo option. Has anyone experienced something like this and could advice? It really bothers me they look this way but it would probably cost me ~$1800 to replace them. I spent about a half hour trying to take a picture and I couldn't get them to show. Here's one example of the best I can do:
