Any chance the SAG/AFTRA strike played any part in this? The timing is very coincidental.

So what exactly does Motley Crue and bands that retire and come back have to do with an Avengers movie?
Motley Crue, along with many other bands, have announced a “Farewell Tour”, which is a tour where the band says they will play live music for the last time. However, there have been many cases where the band ends up coming back and touring again. This is similar to the Avengers movie, where many of the characters die or say goodbye at the end of the movie, but then end up coming back for the sequels.
I believe Professor X has died 4 times in the movies so far X-Men. (The Last Stand, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, Logan, Dr. Strange MoM) Can it happen for the 5th time? I guess we will just have to wait to find out.

Just saw it. It was fun, and yes, it had some silly scenes, but it didn't take itself too seriously. The Marvels does not have a very heavy, serious tone, and I kinda enjoy that right now.
In my very personal rating system, it ranks above GOTG vol3 and below Thor: The Dark World. Solidly in the middle tier of all the MCU movies. The team fighting scenes were pretty good, and the plot was understandable (for a superhero movie).
I was entertained and not bored during the movie. It is not my favorite MCU film, but I enjoyed it much more than...

They don't want that thing out in the wild, with that grade and their name on it.
CGC might pay more than what it is worth, just to get rid of it.

Definitely a big swing and miss at CGC. Maybe there were 2 copies in the same submission, a 9.8 and this one, that got swapped at encapsulation. Wouldn't be the first time.
I was checking the other comics in the submission by changing the last digits to 001, 002, etc., but got kicked out for too many searches (?). First time that happened.
Looks like 4318799013 is the last in the series of submissions. I couldn't find another copy. My first instinct was that this was a joke, or forgery, but the certification number is valid, and the scans are legitimate. This one is definitely an outlier! If this seller has any honesty, they should ask CGC to regrade it free of charge. It's not like there is a 0.2 difference in grade between what is labeled and what condition the book is actually in. This is a significant difference in quality between this book and a 9.8.
Passing this off as a 9.8 just because it says 9.8 is not cool. This can lead people to believe that this seller is not very honest.

I'm going to see it this weekend. I hope it provides some entertainment and makes me forget the daily stresses of my life. I'll also take my wife along in hopes that she enjoys the show also. I am expecting a "fun" movie with some action, humor, and maybe something I have not seen before.
If I walk out saying "I shouldn't have spent money on the tickets", I might reconsider going to the next Marvel theatrical released movie. But until then, I just want to have a good time.

Does CGC always indicate "2nd printing" above the certification number? I am trying to decide if #3897096023 is a 1st print or 2nd print. Thank you!

Thanks! I see it clearly now. I am just a beginner at grading, so your explanation really helps.

Where is the color rub? My eyes are just not seeing it. Thanks!

Matt Smith is a good choice, as he can play the character believably for a number of years. I hope Mr. Fantastic's stretching ability does not look weird and cheesy again. If the writers create a good and believable story with a great villain they don't kill off in the end, I think the movie will make money and be a success.

I kinda liked it. Not as much as Loki or Hawkeye, but more than Ms. Marvel. At the end of the series, the actions of the President of the U.S. could provide a storyline for the X-Men. If that happens then the events in Secret Invasion could be very important.

One of my reasons for slabbing is to literally protect the books. I want to preserve what I have for a long time. The thought of someone mistakenly damaging the books with no harm intended is a risk I do not want to take.

Uhh, yeah. Apparently the first series of Transformers/My Little Pony did so well, IDW made a second series. I had to google it also. Apparently the Editor-in-chief and the writer had fun with it. Good for them. Maybe a movie will be next.

Nicely done! That took time to create and I learned a lot. Thanks!

It took 15 days from the time my box was delivered to CGC to be scheduled for grading. That's a little better than the 20 day estimate. I am curious what the intake looks like. They must have a lot of boxes to go through.

There are a few to choose from on Amazon.com. If hard shell is what you want and price is not a consideration, maybe this one would suffice:

CGC took 15 days between receiving my box to "Scheduled for Grading". Currently, I am patiently waiting for another update. Not quite glacier-like, but at least I know that my books are safe.

Hello, do you happen to have the tracking number available? You can check to be sure this has arrived at our warehouse on our main webpage at the bottom of the page. Once received it can take up to 20 days to go through the intake process and be entered into the system. This depends greatly on the number of submissions being received at the time of delivery. With the recent holiday, you can expect some additional delays.
Thank you for the 20 day reminder. It seems many people are anxiously awaiting their books to be entered into the system. Your post helped me to remain patient. I can't imagine waiting months. That requires some powerful zen-like patience.

They've got to be careful with GIJOE. International audiences love Transformers, but we're not big on GIJOE, not now that we're older and realise what it was. They're going to have to thread a very fine line to get this to work. Frankly, I don't think they're up for the chsllenge, and I do look forward to eating my own hat (it also means I get to go hat shopping).
Good point. Unless they include more international Joes. (That sounds kinda weird). But like a task force made of the best from each country.

I just saw Beast Wars today. I thought it was pretty good. It definitely sets up future Transformer and other Hasbro properties very nicely.
Yes, hopefully they can merger their franchises in a way that benefits both. I feel that NEST in the earlier movies kinda had that G.I. Joe vibe. I hope they don't make G.I. Joe too cheesy (fakey, lame, etc.).

Trying to downsize and liquidate my remaining G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero books. I bought these as a kid, and now is the time to let them go. These are the last of my collection, any help is appreciated. I can't spend the money (or time) getting the raw books graded. Most came back above 9.2, pressing helped bump them up also.
Here's my items on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/usr/lorens_opala
I do pack these really well and all my buyers say the books arrive just as described. Yes, the prices are reasonable. Pics of Front/Back available on eBay.
Thank you!
