  1. Great info here JJ. I learned at c2e2 about chasing down a sig from a creator who doesn't seem to sit at their booth a lot. Lesson learned. Never again! that has to be some sort of battle cry... Now, how about one of these little infomercials on sketches/commissions?
  2. It's a solid read so far for me. Also, the artwork is so dense with detail that it really complements the storytelling in a way that most books don't. To me Bastion has put a ton of work into making this read, look, and feel like a middle centuries comic book fairytale.
  3. Pretty sure that if Michael sends in book hoping for a 9.9, then he's going to get it. He's the best grader that I've met that doesn't have a badge from CGC. CGC could learn a thing or two from him in my opinion!
  4. Davidson is the Grand Poo-Bah of illegitimate zombie lost socks and the patron saint of overprinted comics from the 1990's.
  5. Thanks! I was really nervous about it when I bought it raw, but it was a very nice copy - I do have to disclose that I did send it to Matt and pressed it up. I know there's a lot of controversy about pressing, but I chose it for this one, the first time I pressed, and am very pleased with the results.
  6. Here's my sketch haul from the windy city show... Jason Howard... Tony Moore... Jenny Frison... Skottie Young...
  7. Most of these are fresh from cgc. The X-Men 1 is from Tsimanga.
  8. Edited by fingh <3 If I could figure out how to put in love songs here, I'd do it. If you're interested in selling or trading...
  9. Is there an "archive edition" that I can get a better idea of it with? I'm a child of the 70's..the brady's, partridge's and the super friends!
  10. ok, i'm obviously new to the boards, but i always see these dell ducks for sale at 2-3 bucks a pop. i'm sure that if it's carl barks vs. someone else it could get a premium. is it a case of high grade barks, popular/key barks covers etc...? what's the deal? don't get me wrong, i'm more of a silver age and up guy. I can get certain things, I just want to know why barks is such a big deal and i'm way to lazy to use the search function! if you're mad at me, just take a minute to look at olivia munn and you'll feel better.
  11. I was actually not aware of that one! i see your and raise you hm i didn't know that it existed myself! j I didn't know about it either, and I'm usually on top of Walking Dead stuff. If it's true, that's a pretty cool book to track down. I know it's taboo to step on peoples sales, but... I did a search on eBay and just bought one for about 5 bucks ($1.49 + shipping). The seller is mycomicshop and they had 2 so... http://cgi.ebay.com/Agents-2003-6-NM_W0QQitemZ310162622211QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item4837220703&_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116 Okay, I'm starting to get a little irritated by the comments. Let me put this together. Notice that everyone is saying they didn't know. It's because people didn't. It's the reason you are finding some for cheap right now. Because the seller didn't know. This is no different than the Dreamwalker situation for Goon or Noble Causes/Tech Jacket for Invincible. Only difference is I didn't announce it or buy the copies on the market. You got a cheap price. Great. Don't disparage my auction because of it. Pat Sorry dude, no disrespect meant. Did you perhaps buy the copy I mentioned above? It sold overnight. If so, you got the heads up for another flip. (thumbs u Sorry, no disrespect meant by me either. I had no idea the book existed, that it had a preview of the walking dead, or that it wasn't generally known that there was a preview of the walking dead. I looked up the sales data on comichronwhatevercomnet and the approx print run was 3500 or so. I think it qualifies as a pretty low print run with a huge fan base that may be interested in it. The term "hawking" does sound a little sketchy though, for that I apologize. I doubt I even spelled it right...at any rate, thanks for bringing it out of the closet!
  12. I kind of started a little debate a month or so ago with the Invincible 1st appearance question. It had previews in other books as well before Noble Causes or the regular series. More a novelty than anything else. As I was browsing ebay for WD, I came across a listing selling that book and touting it as a preview. I figured I'd just never heard of it being new to the boards.
  13. I'm sure I'm late to this as well. Is the walking dead preview in The Agents #6 loved at all? Some dude on the bay is hawking it at $20. If this is old hat, just point me to the thread since all the searches I do end up with Fear Agent in them!
  14. She has a way of doing that...if only more women would dress up in fanboy costumes the world would be a better place... TFL, thanks for the input. I guess it's more of an art than a science. I have a faded DD 1, I think I'll put it in the PGM section after work and see what the thoughts are on that. Maybe I'll get a better idea.
  15. Hi, Pretty sure we've all seen books that have sat in store windows and turned colors. I don't know what the specific term is in comic grading. How is that defined in grading? Aside from the obvious lack of eye appeal how does it affect the grade. Let's say that a book is otherwise a 9.0, what would it grade out at? I know it's nebulous and may have been covered before. thanks, Steven
  16. That is sweet! A fantastic price too I might add! You got to love the 35 centers. I only have a few but always keep my eye half open for them. Congrats on your diamond in the rough. Steven
  17. This is on its way back from getting slabbed...I picked this up from a set of SW I bought off of craigslist.
