  1. I'll second that. Wasn't familiar with this charity, but donating was easy. And as always, thank you Sharon and the other folks who donated time, money, and comics. And thirdgreenham...
  2. On to the new thing. Just picked this up. The primary collector of the Cookeville collection was Leroy Mackie, but some of the books in the collection belonged to his brother, James. Found this neat little item. Of course, it lacks the SN initials because it wasn't purchased at the local store where the two brothers bought their comics, but was a subscription copy.
  3. Apologizes for bringing this thread back from the dead, but I thought it would be the appropriate spot to show a couple of items. one old and one new. First, I picked up this Adventure #46 from nearmint (thanks, Jeff) a couple of years ago. When it arrived, I got a closer look at the writing on the front cover. It's a Cookeville! When you pair it with this Cookeville that I bought at an LCS in that town, I've got a mini-run of Cookeville Sandman covers.
  4. Thank you. It would certainly fit better in your collection of high grade gems than in my motley crew.
  5. Military to Army and Navy (who play football today)
  6. I'm speechless. I just wish I had books to donate. Wonderful gesture on your part, Dan. And there's the added Christmas miracle of rendering Michael speechless.
  7. Whew, glad I picked up my low grade copy last year at about a 90% discount to what that one sold for.
