  1. Thanks! Yeah, I wasn't going to frame the art for the psychic effect, since the overlay it's done on is semi-opaque and obscures the art when in place. The layout of the frame ended up creating some blank space though, so I thought I'd just frame it along with everything else. I think it looks much better this way than with simply leaving more of the matte showing and I really didn't like framing out any original art anyway. Tommy
  2. Got my Kubert "Weapon X" #1 cover from the Age of Apocalypse back from the framers. It took me a long time to figure out a way to frame it, since the cover actually has a clear overlay on it. I didn't want to frame it with the overlay though, because it covers a lot of the art. So, I framed the overlays next to the art on top of a copy of the art. I think it turned out nicely. And the extra space also allowed me to frame the small piece of art for the psychic effect seen around Jean Grey's hand on the cover. It's done in little drops of ink. Anyway, I went with a black outer matte, then red and blue inner mattes to match their costumes. And I used a stainless steel frame, since I thought it popped and complimented the industrial feel of the story. Weapon X #1 cover framed Tommy
  3. Picked up one of my main art grails: Weapon X #1 cover by Adam Kubert. It's from the Age of Apocalypse storyline. My favorite cover from my favorite storyline. All in all, a pretty good day. Tommy
  4. Those GL pieces are amazing! Never been a huge GL fan, but those are outstanding! Cograts! Just picked this up from the frame place. I've wanted to get them all framed together for a while now: McNiven: Wolverine #70 (Old Man Logan) p15-16 DPS rough, final art and published Tommy
  5. Thanks! There is a LOT of competition over the Old Man Logan stuff. There are several highly dedicated collectors who focus on the storyline, so if you don't get to it fast, it's usually gone. I've found that out the hard way a few times. This is also McGuinness' only published work in the storyline, which I thought was cool. His style really fits larger than life characters. Tommy
  6. Picked up the Ed McGuinness variant cover to Wolverine: Giant Size Old Man Logan #1. McGuinness' Hulk rocks! Wolverine: Giant Size Old Man Logan #1 Tommy
  7. Got a McNiven DPS of all the X-Men dead from Wolverine #70, which I'm thrilled to have. I've been looking for a good Old Man Logan page for a while, and this one matches the rough I already had. Wolverine #70 p15 & 16 Tommy
