  1. Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome. Fremde, etranger, stranger.
  2. I really enjoyed the art in issue #4. The story is still leaving me wondering where it is all going but I will keep reading.
  3. why the motorcycles? are they going to run over the bad guys?
  4. uff I'd hate to be holding the bag when this book pulls an Earl Tubbs
  5. Is the Vision character a spoiler for the Ultron movie? I'm guessing you're mistaking Baron Zemo for the Vision.
  6. Is the Vision character a spoiler for the Ultron movie?
  7. The Don Rosa books that hit the market were just his books from the '70-'85. Check out this quote from his epilogue he wanted included in his Duck anthology:
  8. I thought Burning Fields first issue was well done. Nice quality cover, good art and story. After Trillium and The Wake I have learned not to dismiss the mini, at least for reading purposes.
  9. I agree. Tim is one the few creators who participates with the readers/collectors on the boards. He put out 1 cool story already. I expect he'll knock it out of the park again based on how great the big "E" has been to this point. I will check it out at the LCS today. It is tough to have legs when it is an 8 issue mini though.
  10. Considering the only way that book got graded in one day is through walk through service which is $150 minimum, plus book cost, plus sig cost That book cost the seller $200 easily ( unless there are things going on we don't have information about ) If it sells for less than $300, its a failure in my mind. The notation is what sets the book apart, that is what will sell the book. The notation is where CGC went wrong. It's exactly the same thing as the Stan Lee Birthday signature book, most likely by the same group of people. this is the type of special treatment that loses you clients. If I pay enough $$ can I get special label notation so I can upsell my books on feebay for major $$? Doubt it.
  11. wow that's about as manufactured as you get. I wonder who plunked down enough $$ to garner a special label notation. Reminds me of the Stan Lee birthday signing label notation.
  12. Oni is pretty small press though. I believe 6000 is the barometer for Image. but yeah that is small numbers for 2 great books Sixth Gun made it this far: Sixth Gun 45 $3.99 Oni 2,764
  13. Good question!! Some of the sales numbers are shockingly low! I am enjoying Conan the Avenger but I see 8100 copies a month and wonder how long will Dark Horse keep printing this title? I believe a creator was on here and mentioned below 6000 a book becomes unprofitable. Clone was around that number when it died.
  14. I have a feeling this book is going to be in overdrive for the foreseeable future. Should be great.
  15. one-shot was pretty good. Though I am more interested to see what the next few regular issues look like.
  16. wikipedia excerpt: The Copperheads were a vocal faction of Dem0crats located in the Northern United States of the Union who opposed the American Civil War, wanting an immediate peace settlement with the Confederates. Republ|cans started calling antiwar Dem0crats "Copperheads", likening them to the venomous snake. The Peace Dem0crats accepted the label, reinterpreting the copper "head" as the likeness of Liberty, which they cut from copper pennies and proudly wore as badges.
  17. #5 was pretty good. The last page has me interested in the 2nd arc and more story expansion. On a side note - I really wish *every* book didn't have to stick to this 5 issue arc framework. Can someone not tell a good story without an issue 5 cliff hanger and issue 6 explanation?
  18. time to fish through the short boxes for the first few issues. I can't remember anything about this book except the sweet cover for the collected 1-3 giant issue
  19. finally got a copy of #16. Might be the best issue of the series....so far.
