  1. I was wondering if a book has a dust shadow on the back does it kill the prices on that book? The book looks structurally 9.2-9.4 but has this dust shadow on the back giving it a 9.0: Its a GA pretty high dollar book:
  2. The ASM 50 is a Fire Mountain I bought raw just back from CGC, the others I bought from a newly graded collection from the dealer. Fire Mountains them all! (plus brother's crazy 'flip a painting from 1672' idea, I think he's crazy, but he thinks its a good deal... sure looks cool though) Question... if I want to sell some of them (thinking the JIM 90 because its so rare) which site is best (I assume an auction would be best) Comiclink, Heritage or Pedigree? I assumed comiclink but would like opinons... [url=] ST 112 9.4, ASM 6, JIM 90 9.4, JIM 87 9.2, ASM 50 8.0 [url=] [url=]
  3. Fire Mountains them all! (plus brother's crazy 'flip a painting from 1672' idea) Question, sell them on Comiclink, Heritage or Pedigree? I assumed comiclink but would like opinons... [url=] ST 112 9.4, ASM 6, JIM 90 9.4, JIM 87 9.2, ASM 50 8.0 [url=] [url=]
  4. are those actually worth anything now? I still have about 10 of those games
  5. Andy, did these come from that collection you discovered recently? If so, WOW!! What is the best way to find old collections anyway? How do you guys do it, or is it too lotto to do systematically
  6. Re large Orig Owner spidey collection on page 560 ... WOW nice collection to find... Ive only found 1 sweet old collection, how do you find them? Craigslist such a waste of time you have to have a comic store and someone walk in? Or put out ads on CL or in the guides?
  7. sweet book ASM 31 9.2, Ive been looking in the $20 bin for just such a book, without luck!
  8. I got these recently from CGC... They are for sale in the selling thread, but not sure if these are better to be kept for investment. I wouldnt mind opinions on which ones I should keep, which one I should sell and why etc. Also got some prelim grades from this same collection, scans to follow later ASM 116 9.6 118 9.6 132 9.8 139 9.6 143 9.6
  9. Just got some prelimary grades, scans to come later: ASM: 43 9.2 offwhite to cream 119 8.0 124 9.8 126 9.6 Really, excited about the 43 and 124, these are definite keepers! Any ASM under 50 that is 9.2 or higher is soo hard to find! At first I was going to sell some of these, but prices have got softer. And its so hard to find these kind of books the best move is not to trade them, but to hold them and let my kids sell them in 40 years. The 124 is perfectly cut and centered, I may have to sell the rest of the run to afford to pay the CGC fees on the few I graded, but I think its better to keep say 5 high CGC books and ebay all the 8.0 and 9.0's? The cool thing about this run is the run from 199 to 226 is all blazing 9.8 types, except for a super slight non color breaking spine roll on all the books, so they wont grade 9.8.
  10. wow is all I can say! That's a beautiful copy
  11. I'm most excited about the spiderman 152, I'm trying to get as many 9.8s and 9.6's as I can from raw collections off ebay, but its kind of a wild goose chase. I dont really collect X-men, but couldnt pass buying this X-men125, it was pretty unbelievable to see raw... anyone need an X-men 125 9.8 wp?
  12. I meant to say, sounds like you would sell all four!
  13. shark, hmm sounds like for investment purposes you would sell all three... what comics would be worth hanging onto? seems the 9.6 X-men -- its pretty rare to actually get a 9.6!
