    I managed to find this regarding CGC 8.0 grades: Missing Pieces: A very tiny front cover piece up to (1/16" square) or a slightly larger back cover piece (1/8" square) are allowed to be missing on an otherwise beautiful copy.

    Hi, I have what appears to be a great copy of Avengers 59 (I’m a newbie so who knows), except for a tiny missing piece near the bottom right corner. In not sure if it would be considered a tear or tiny chip. Inside is complete and no staple rust. Thoughts on an estimated grade? It does need a clean and press.

    I'm having trouble researching this one - if a book is in great condition otherwise, how much does handwriting inside the book affect the grade? For example, see the upper right hand and upper left hand corners of the attachment - there is a '1999' written on both sides. Let's assume it was an 8.0 without the writing. Thanks P.S. The 1999 is not the year the book was published..

    Update: turned out that is not a stain on the back cover. I was able to remove it with a very light eraser.

    Hi, I was hoping to get an estimated grade on this book. I’m guessing a clean and press would help quite a bit. the interior is complete and in good shape; no loose or missing staples, pages or coupons. thank you!

    I was looking for some help with an expected grade for this book. Specifically because of the two chips on the right side of the cover. They extend to the first two pages of the book. The back cover and inside pages are complete and in good shape. Thanks!
