  1. Hello guys I just wanna ask a simple question. I got a card from ebay and was about to submit it for grading but unfortunately found out a major flaw on the surface. This wasn't in the description nor the photo. At a certain angle or low light the scratch isn't visible. Seller was so detailed on uploading a lot of pics except for this one😅 Well... Before I thought it'll be at least a 9.5+ and above not knowing that scratch would be there and now everything has changed🥲 To my valuation grade of this card will be... 1) Centering 9.5(or10)/10 2) Coners 9.5(or10)/10 (minor whitening on one corner) 3) Edges 10/10 4) Surface ?/10 (clear surface but one scratch on the holo part) I have no clue on how the scratch would affect overall grading. Could someone give me an insight? Would it downgrade -1, -2? or -0.5?
  2. Thanks I've edited some weird things. Cheers to CGC.
  3. Hello CGC, I'm relatively new to the brand but been a fan for quite long. It feels more interesting than ever because I've been leaning towards submitting or acquiring graded cards since you made mass changes on business. Couple months back customers(=market) were negative or rather questioning your moves as a brand, nevertheless CGC cards was established and fresh criterias were set. Well we need to keep an eye on if that was a good move or not. Anyway to be honest I don't want to repeat harsh and soar criticism. You had enough of it. And also I understand business isn't that easy and simple as one person would think. To get to the point I would like to offer some opinions on the label layout. The new design of the label is very on point, less tacky(no offense). A more chic and clean approach to the eye which suits customers expectation of trust and professional image. What about the rear? Back of the label has some room for improvements. I personaly think the previous label had the right taste for customers. At least for the rear layout. The collecting pool of the market is rather more nerdy(not in a negative way) so we mostly arent finding simple 'zen' style things. If minimalism was a thing for this community? Pokemon, Yugi-oh , MTG wouldnt got this big. I'm pretty sure the people who want grading would be more satisfied with extra information, such as serial numbers and bar codes. Well I am not a insider so I have no such clue if the current version rear label is for cost cutting practices. Still it'll be better for the long term if it were to leave what is good and change what wasnt. You did half right but the other half kinda poorly. Why throw away whats great? Portion is also a key. Yes eye pleasing! The current one has a QR code on the middle. But it's unpleasing to the eye. Since it isn't in the middle and feels tilted off centered. What kind of customer who are wanting percise grading would allow that? Summary Great front design for the new label Rear layout is no where near good for being too simple&unpleasing. Former layout was better which was balanced proportionaly. Grading customers arent into zen style&simplicity. Why not adopt what was good in the past? (Look at the competitors they're pretty recognisable when flipped) To wrap it up... it's barely the start so I want to believe better changes would follow;) p.s. I found new labels have cut lines on the edges and some dont. You guys need more QC control. I know you guys are doing hard work and I support cgc as a customer hope you guys could be the leader of the market in every way🤗
  4. I tend to not mind changes if they're going in the right direction. So might as well say CGC needs to up their game more than before. Not just a problem of labels.
  5. I'm wondering if CGC cards will accept to receive and grade my purchase from ebay. 1) I'll purchase a graded card from ebay 2) fill out the form for submission just like normal 3) Seller will send package to cgc address (set my default address to cgc) The purpose is to save time and shipping cost. It would take half the time like a month faster if i take this route. Has anyone tried this? or in any way know about it.
