  1. Yes I did get an estimate of about @3k but have decided to hold off as the cost associated with all logistics (back and forth) are too high. Will start reaching out to HA/Bonhams etc when i am in the US in a few years. Till then this is back in one corner of my cupboard
  2. @Telegan and others: Here is the blow up of the filled in form.. From my reading it looks like the information points to someone named Kruger from New York who when it was filled was 9 years and 4 months? Anyone out there who can take a shot at this?
  3. @Telegan the small pin holes are there on most of the pages across the bind, not just on the form.. its difficult to see unless you put it across a light source.
  4. @stormflora Excellent question, i am also interested in knowing how Heritage Auctions work. Anyone who has used it, would be good if you can give your experience on how it works?
  5. @pemart1966 As of now not in a hurry to sell , if its worth nothing, i will just keep it in my collection but i am curious as i have never sold any of my comic collection and felt if i start, it needs to be with this one as this is the oldest book i have.
  6. @Point Five not sure of any backstory. I am as intrigued as you are. I happened to come across this from a book reseller, from where i purchased it. not sure who P.K.Das is but would be good to understand how did it end up at a reseller.
  7. Thanks, in the meantime any tips on how to store it properly? I am in India and comic collection concept is not bit here so a lot of these acid free cases, papers is not easily found. Any tips would be appreciated.
  8. @Grendel72 Thanks. Let me check our Heritage Auctions. If i hold on this for lets say 10 more years, would the value increase?
  9. @grendelbo Thank you for your message as you mentioned i do not plan to sell them individually. I will sell it as is when the time comes.
  10. Hello All, I have in my possession a truly remarkable item: a professionally bound volume of Golden Age Batman comics, spanning issues from #17 to #65. This collection includes such iconic issues as Batman #17, #21, #24, #26, #33, #44, #51, #52, #53, #54, and #65. I am considering selling or auctioning this collection and would greatly appreciate your insights and advice. Photos of the collection are attached for your reference. As you will see, this is a unique assembly of some of the most sought-after Batman comics from the 1940s and 1950s. The condition varies across the issues, but they have all been preserved in a single, elegant leather-bound volume, which adds a distinct charm and a sense of historical preservation. I'm reaching out to this knowledgeable community for guidance on a few key points: Grading and Valuation: Has anyone here dealt with the grading or valuation of bound volumes of comics? Given the nature of this collection, how might the binding affect its overall value? Best Avenues for Sale or Auction: Would you recommend private sale, consignment with a notable auction house like Heritage, or another route? I am based in India, so any advice on international selling would be particularly valuable. Estimated Value: Any ballpark estimates on what a collection like this could fetch in the current market? I understand this might vary widely, but any insights based on your experience would be highly appreciated. Interest from Collectors: How do bound volumes of this nature generally fare in the collector's market? Is there a niche of collectors who particularly seek out such compilations? Your expertise and advice will be instrumental in helping me make an informed decision about this treasure trove of comic history. Thank you in advance for your time and input! Thanks.
