It looks like that staple is missing with that piece of the cover gone but the cover is still attached by another staple above where that one is missing.

Hello everyone, forty year plus collector here and finally thinking of getting some of my collection graded, so I figured I would start here with my copy of X-Men #8. You’ll see some little chunks taken out of the cover but otherwise no other defects besides what you can see. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!
