  1. Heritage sold a 9.0 over 15000 in 2006. Last year, Comiclink sold the last 9.0 for over $25000 and this was before SC 22 awakens from the ashes with collector's interest and movie hysteria. Also, Comic Connect has grown to be a well recognized auction house which these days have generated some media coverage. All three I recommend, but whichever one you have dealt with and felt more comfortable with is your call.
  2. I recommend these auction houses: Heritage, Comiclink or Comic Connect. You may just set a record price for this book.
  3. Not quite three of a kind, but a set of three, but a straight. Descent, but could be better. One great set Richard ! Are you possessed with WPs ? Is there a CURE for that type of disease ? (The reason I ask is I may HAVE it !!) Thanks Brannon! I guess both you and I have been possessed with WPs. The cure is to find WPs to fix it. Glad to be in this board. More to come later.
  4. That's eight Showcase #22 today. Anybody else? i can only pull 5...you win! Any chance you can show us your five copies?

  7. Showcase 22 has been a sleeper for a long time. Since the movie has been announced, it has cause demand to exceed supply. As a rule of thumb, when price increases, supply will increase also. If price increased to drastically without any pullback; then this is speculation. But what is considered high, we don't know until more supply comes forward and what prices is established. Even Detective27 didn't expect prices and demand to increase so much. At the end of the day, there is great support for this book now.
  8. Threes a company. Nice group shot of one of the DC silver age holy grail.
  9. B&B #28 is a cool book, but it is like Avengers #1 in that it is not a 1st appearance of a major character book. This is why I put #22 ahead of it. (thumbs u It also seems to be more readily available in decent shape than SC #22. I agree about Avengers #1 is not a 1st appearance of a major character book, but is of a team like Brave and the Bold #28. Here is the time sequence: Showcase #4 introduction of the silver age Flash, next Showcase #22 introduction of silver age Green Lantern and finally Brave and the Bold #28 introduction of Justice League of America.
  10. No objection to that. But did you noticed SC 22 is selling for a lot more than BB 28 in all grades and is now much harder to locate. Speculations or the seat has turned??? Time will tell.
  11. I meant these are the top three DC silver age comics in my opinion.
  12. These are my top three Silver Age Dc Key. 1) Showcase #4 2) Showcase #22 3) Brave and the Bold #28
  13. October, That's a good deal!!! Nice coverless copy can easily sell for $75.00. That's still an affordable copy. Good luck.
  14. I talked to a few dealers and they do agree with me that SC22 is the hottest book in the market after AF15. Also, they agree that any book grade over a 6.0 is an auction book.
  15. In the CGC census, there are a total of 241 copies graded so far. Why are there not more copies graded? I think because there are so many copies that grades less than 4.0, and collectors are holding out of not getting it graded. As prices steadily climb, I predict there will be more copies being graded; especially when the release of the movie is near.
  16. Looks like the trend is up for copies graded CGC 5.0 and higher. If a 9.2 copy surface, I bet it would fetch at least $50000.
  17. A Showcase 22 graded 5.5 PGX off-white pages just sold in comic link for $1700. Looks like if submitted to CGC, in may receive at least a 5.0 grade and possibly a 5.5 grade. Either way, this is definitly a record for a 5.0 or 5.5.
  18. I have seen peewee's AF 15 scan. The color is rich and the pages are bone white. Absolutely breathtaking.
  19. Looking forward to see the outcome! Good luck peewee.
  20. There are only 11 copies that is 7.5 or better. Rick's 7.5 is probably the best 7.5 out there. Rick's copy is in the top 10% tier, so I think $10000 is a reasonable and fair price. Since guide price is currently $10000 for a 9.2, I predict next year's guide will show a a minimum 20% jump.
  21. Nice high grade copy. May set a record for this grade.
  22. That makes sense. First appearance is always in higher demand than the second tier. I'll keep the board updated if another high grade copy is found.
  23. Even though it's a 5.0, it is still an attractive copy; since many on the cgc census is 4.0 and under. It took me a very long time to find a 6.0. I also have a showcase 24 in cgc 8.0. Is this in high demand?
  24. I will definitely consider it. Good luck http://boards.collectors-society.com/images/icons/default/thumbs_up.gif
