They all rose with the GL movie and now have come back down to earth is the take home message, I guess. Regardless of how the movies do, SA DCs just aren't as popular as their Marvel counterparts. It is similar to pricing on GA keys - DC rules while the big Timely books lag behind. It is interesting to see that the BA is a bit of a toss up as prices on the big DC BA books do well compared to the big Marvel BA books. Mind you, remove Neal Adams from the DC side of the equation and it is not even close to being a contest......... Don't forget, the DC bronze age horror in 9.8's are very scarce and will command a premium. Seems like anything with a nice cover drawn by Neal Adams in the BA will fetch a premium. Which is why I buy any HG Adams BA books I come across like an addict. The Adams DCs sell well in all grades, especially the Batbooks. They are the only DCs that Marvel collectors buy steadily from me at local shows. (thumbs u (thumbs u Still trying to complete a Neal Adams GL run in 9.2-9-8. Adams beautiful art...all the way.

Some may be harder to find in high grade, but the simple fact is that SA Marvel is collected by probably 10x the number of people as SA DC. They should appreciate in value over time provided the underlying characters remain popular, but it will be at a slower pace than their Marvel counterparts. or 100x unfortunately much more liquid than DC.

The last few months, the top three DC SA has seen it's low's.

Seriously, I see the book moving up again since I see copies moving briskly and quite decent prices. I'm already regretting selling my 5.0 .. A SC22 in 5.0 is still the point where it's a bit harder to pry loose at a decent price.

That's a nice one. Should be interesting to watch From what I see, SC22s is beginning to show signs of movement again.

Timing is everything. Yeah...that GL7 sold low. Some GL7 in 3.0's have sold in the mid 100. I have a low ungraded 3.0.

If the buyer could have held on to the Keller copy longer....would done better. how much longer? 10 years? The buyer could fish for a higher price. Well, if the census doesn't show many high grade copies in the upper 9.0+ in the next ten years.

This 7.5 is the same one on Ebay. I guess the buyer decided to consign it to Comic Connect. The Savannah was a nice book for the grade and the price was reasonable and would been a good copy for you. I think a boardie owns that copy. At least you are cover it all fronts.

Thanks all! I almost lost it because my phone was out of battery while I was on the road. Luckily, I went to a bagel store and the nice owner let me charge it for a few minutes and then I put a bid in the last ten minutes. I never looked at the auction till I came home. I guess it was meant to be.

Fist time for me to own a complete Showcase 4. I once own a coverlesss cover back in 1989. This book complete my top three DC SA keys.
