A few folks are going to get an opportunity to own some nice SC22 within the next month. If I wasn't hypnotized by the Billy books.

again, sometimes you have to look beyond the "numbers"...that 4.0 was a GREAT looking copy...presented much better than the 4.5 #29...I would expect that to sell for more... and yes, there is more supply so there is more relative demand for tec 31...do I think the 4.0 tec 31 would sell for more than 26K today, probably not...it only sold a few months ago and I believe realized full market value... the 29 performed weakly, but rebounded in a private sale... however, if tec 29 came up for auction more often (it rarely does), I think one would see that its legs are every bit as strong as 31... 31 is considered the more iconic cover by many, but in a poll ran on these boards not too long ago, tec 29 got the nod over 31 in terms of "desirablility"... if memory serves me... don't get me wrong, I love them both!... but tec 29 real worlds, sells for every bit as much as 31 does (thumbs u In perspective, once more multiples sales shall occur for 29 or 31, the jury is still out there. If Tec 29 is not rarer than 31....then, 31 will win. Time will tell, I guess.

The Tec 31 4.0 recently sold for $26K along with the Tec 29 4.5 a notch about $20K. I wasn't aware of the Tec 29 4.5 reselling again for $26K. If the Tec 31 4.0 resale again, it may sell for a higher price too. I understand 29 is rarer than 31, but the demand of 31 is much more...at least from what I see.

Yeh, there's lots of places along the spine that where touched up by a black sharpie. GL's right arm has a big area filled in as well. All the ct has bleed through also. Any idea what I could sell this copy for? I don't have much experience selling restored comics. For a non key book, as a general Rule of Thumb I go with about 25% of the unrestored FMV. I know it sounds stupid but I have intentionally sent in some key books with CT to get graded by CGC. I think it is an easier sell in the slab if the book grades out and the buyer knows the full extent of the resto. If this were a Marvel I would suggest getting it signed by Stan Lee () ! +1 It's a not shabby GL4, so in a slab will do fine for resale.

I enjoyed your previous Spidey list. Not surprising that most of the first ten Spidey's are hard to find in 9.0+. If AF15 were added to the list, there would only 16 copies on 9.0+ Great efforts tmoore. Very informative and useful for the Spidey enthusiasts.

That's still what helluva copy. The centering and WP's more than make up for it. For the bottom copy, I see black color touch on the spine. Any other color touch, not visible from the scan?

Peewee, if the restoration is minor as 1/16 inch color touch as you mention and does not bleed to the cover of the book...then there is a possible shot for a 7.0. BB28 7.0's FMV would be $4500 to $6750...or 6.5 $3500-$4500. If this book stays a 7.5 restored SA holder, the price would be substantially less as Gator mentioned. Lots of possibility here on your BB28.
