  1. My Safety Deposit Box Group Shot
  2. I broke my "do not watch a new series in the first two years until it is renewed rule" because I liked the pilot that much. Case in point: Rome Life Flash Forward Life on Mars Jericho Hung Journeyman Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles Star Trek: Enterprise There are so many more. If the CW screws with this one I will go postal.
  3. A combination of board sales and auctions yielded these upgrades (some were owned for a while but was building up a combined shipment to Canada): FINALLY! And my PC Ped and only Silver 9.8:
  4. As far as I am concerned Frank is one of the best members of the boards to buy from and as evidenced by Greg Reece last month an absolute class act and a reason the boards can maintain a true feel of a community. Kudos Frank
  5. Picked up the X-men 34 9.4 Northland Ped at Fan Expo in Toronto Thanks to drewincanada for saving me scanning time.
  6. Thanks for compiling the info - great job
  7. Arrived yesterday - another Pedigree off my list.
  8. Thanks - it is one of my all-time favorite Silver X-men covers.
  9. Got my Pacific Coast, a 9.8 for my 1-66 run and Neal Adams 1st Marvel work.
  10. Anyone hazard a guess at what the Schmell 9.8 will fetch? I say 400K
  11. So I just hooked up an HP 7400C that I got off of Kijiji for FREE. The lady that gave it to me received it for free and for the Feng Shui to continue in her home office she returned the favor. The software she used was no longer available for Windows 7 so she upgraded both her scanner and software. Here are the results: X-Men #4: imported with Windows Fax and Scan and using Office 2010 Auto-correct GSX #1: imported and auto-corrected with Paint.NET (freeware) The glare was only apparent on the GSX 1 because of the thicker case - I am very pleased with the scans. Now I need to scan over 100 books
  12. Thanks guys. I am trying to resist the temptation to parlay this into a 9.0 right now.
  13. It doesn't matter whether it was on-site or shipped to CGC. This is a book valued over $3000 so it has to be at walk-thru pricing (3% of FMV). I chose to do this on-site so I could bring the book with me and bring it back across the border. That alone saved me $100 in shipping and the hassle and worry of insuring the book and paying duties and taxes.
  14. Thanks guys. T-bones, b-day cake, beer, wine and my X-Men 1.
  15. I know - there is a hard crease on the back cover that is super hard to see - and near impossible to view in any scan or in a slab. So I was both and
  16. Got this done on-site at WW Philly. Thanks to Joe, CGC (for taking it when they were really busy) and all my fellow boardies who were around to see the final result: Now I just need to resist using this to upgrade to a 9.0...........
