  1. Very nice. It is not easy at all to get all the reprints, especially in 9.8 condition.
  2. I voted No for the same good reasons that Branget makes.
  3. I don't agree either. I am not sure who requested it be put on there. I would vote to take it off. I guess we could always ask for it to be removed. It was requested here: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=7592106&fpart=6 There is also some debate going on about whether TBP should be included and if a new set just for 1st printings should be created. As for the cover art, that is a good question. If I can find out I will post it here. Thanks for the heads up. I will put in my

  5. Maybe no one has requested the 2nd print to be put on there. I have not got one that I thought was worth grading so I haven't gone one yet. I did just get the grades from my coupon submission of the MOS reprint and it got a 9.8 I also got an AC 683 1st print 9.8 and 2nd Print 9.6.
  6. I have an AC 683 2nd with CGC right now but I think it may only get a 9.4 or 9.6. I had an expiring coupon so I just sent it in for fun. I do have an Adv. 496 2nd Print 9.8 SS. For the Superman 73 2nd I only have it raw right now with no good contenders at a 9.8.
  7. Sorry I didn't know about this before, I would have had you send it to me and I would have brought it with me to C2E2. But I leave tomorrow for Chicago. I am bringing a few copies for him to sign with me. No problem at all. I usually try to get 10 or so books done at once and still need several more 9.8 candidates before I submit for another signing. That is nice of you though, thanks. Have a great time at the show.
  8. Thank you, me too. If I would have seen that one on eBay I would have got it as well so I would have 2 shots at a SS 9.8. $150 is a very good price.
  9. I have two 5th print 9.8's and I plan to send one in to be signed eventually. I just have to hope it holds the 9.8 grade.
  10. I am not sure if it counts or not since it is a reprint, kind of like the Superman #75 millennium edition. Would it count? I would lean towards no since they are just reprints that were released years later, but that wouldn't stop me from picking them up. Congrats on the 9.8.
  11. I would want both for my collections sake but if I could only have one I would pick MOS 18 5th print.
  12. I purchased a slab from Tracee and it was shipped out very quickly and it was very well packed. Thanks again.
  13. I bid just over $1000 and lost. I was pretty bummed when I lost out and would have bid more but the auction ended with all the bidding happening in the last few seconds.
  14. I have a really hard time believing that a 12 year old would talk like this.
  15. I saw it mentioned several pages back. I am just going to leave it alone as Hado is doing and just let it die.
  16. I see your point, a lie is a lie in any language. I am not a fan of liars or condone lying by any means but is it HOS worthy? P.S. - you are one of my favorite posters on this message board so there is no chance of me getting into an arguement with you. If it has to do with altering a deal....why not? Is the HoS only for people who steal money? What about the guy on the HoS who just reneged on a deal and didn't pay the large sum he owed. I could be wrong...and please correct me if I am, but I believe the seller didn't lose the book...he just never got paid what he was promised. No, I don't look at the HoS as only being for people who steal money but rather a list of people who did something so wrong and caused problems beyond repair. If the reason he is on there is for altering a deal why would he not just be put on the PL so he could have a chance to make right of his transaction that went bad? I believe he said he contacted the involved party to try to work things out. Was that not the case? I could be wrong on that since there are so many pages to this whole thing.

  18. Taking all the emotion out of the situation, how is he sorry? He repeatedly has called people part of the lynchmob, and now is talking about people being 'sheep and peeps' like nobody can make a decision for themselves. Add to this the openly bragging about not caring being in the HOS and doing transactions behind the scenes, and where is the sorry? I didn't know about this situation until you pointed it out to me. I don't agree with his lack of remorse for being put on the HOS but after reading about it I don't see why he should be on it. He is not bragging about how he ripped people off or stole from them and got away with it. And ganging up on him - his statements are what keep tripping him up. If I was ganging up on him and wanting him to fail, why would I suggest he talk with Hado first before posting again? I'd let him do his own damage. I don't know the guy and have never had a transaction with him and should probably let him just do his own damage but I am just expressing what I see myself in a person being voted into the HOS. Seriously - are we reading the same material? I do wish he would just apologize and leave the snarky comments out of it but that doesn't seem to be happening. It defintely isn't the way I would go about things if I was in this situation but that is just me.
  19. You need to reread the poll question. Good opinions & I share some of them. (thumbs u  I voted yes.
  20. This is one thing I can agree with. Like MikeNYC also mentioned - kneejerk reactions to include people and then polls to remove them are not good for the overall long-term effectiveness of the PL/HOS. I'm staying out of the way of the convos, just wanted to give my I agree as well. To vote someone into the HOS just to remove him, rightfully so IMO, a week or two later shows how kneejerk of a reaction it was and how meaningless the HOS can be if situations like this are allowed to happen with no real backing. From what I can read SC1 didn't rip anyone off and tried to make ammends with his wronged transaction. He might have "dared" the group to put him in the HOS but what did he really do to deserve to be there? My father had cancer so I can understand anyone who would be upset or offended with his black humor about his dad and cancer as I don't agree with that type of humor either. Should that get him placed in the HOS? I don't think so. As someone said english may not be his first language so certain things may not come across the way he is really meaning and seem more harsh or rude then meant. I have had coworkers like that and sometimes you just cringe at what they say but they really didn't mean it like that. I voted yes in Hado's new poll because he didn't steal or rip anyone off and just because someone has a poor communication skills over a computer to show real remose isn't enough for someone to be voted into the HOS, a place I view as the worst of the worst. He apologized and I do think he is sorry for what he did even if it comes across as a bit sarcastic but that seems to be his way of coping with things. He just feels like the majority of the boards are ganging up against him and there is nothing he can do to make that go away.
  21. I have never seen that #25 2nd print. I wonder if it does exist? I do have this.
