  1. France 1971. The front and back covers are textured. Its hard to see in the photo.
  2. Here's a few issues of a superman series from Brazil i believe. The years are 1968 and 1969. I can't find any mention of this series anywhere on the internet. I got them in a lot with a bunch of american books. I don't have any keys here but what i found interesting about this "Superman Bi" is that they used stories and covers from three different superman series. Here we have covers from : Action Comics 236, Lois Lane 74 and Superman 175. Enjoy
  3. Hi there everyone. I've been reading this thread for awhile now but have never gotten around to posting anything. I've been collecting foreign editions, whenever I can possibly find them, for many years. I'm so happy to find a group of people who appreciate this difficult aspect of our hobby. Here's one I haven't seen posted yet. The american Frankensteins are hard enough to come by. I would love to know how many of these were printed. British, 1954
  4. This may be a little off topic but has anyone heard about this book or have any idea why it may be this expensive? It's a trade paperback from 2007 reprinting a few stories from Eerie publication mags of the 70's. Retail, it was $18.99. The cheapest copy on amazon is $1976.00 and the most expensive is $3658.00. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1419667483/ref=s9_simh_co_p14_d0_i4?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=left-1&pf_rd_r=0F2F05MQ9NX9GYHRGDRA&pf_rd_t=3201&pf_rd_p=1280661682&pf_rd_i=typ01
  5. That's a beautiful set. I found this really great blog named http://womenrunningfromhouses.blogspot.com/ . It's some amusing writing about the gothic romance genre. She writes mostly about the novels but there is a very interesting section about the DC comics and why they were a failure. It also has a great collection of cover art of the thousands of books using the "scared woman running from a house" motiff. Jones did quite a few paperback covers for this genre as well.
  6. I live in the U.S. I don't have any frame of reference for how rare these may be or how interesting they may be to the English. I'm planning on taking a trip out there at the end of the year. Hopefully I'll find out.
  7. Hello everyone. I'm a longtime reader of this board but a first time poster. I would like to say that your posts have been inspiring to me. When I began collecting this stuff as a kid, in the late 80's, it was pretty much worthless. I'm so glad it has finally found the fan base it deserves. It would seem that almost everything relevant to 70's american horror comics has been posted. This may be why this board has seem to slow a bit. I thought I would add a few things that I have not seen posted yet, which may be off topic, but might be of some interest you. I have a great fondness for international and unusual editions. This book is magazine size with black and white inside.
  8. Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone could give me any information on production art. Things like acetate sheets used for color separation and other one of a kind items used in the production of a book. I can't seem to find any info about it anywhere. Is anybody out there collecting that stuff, and which part of the process (besides the OA) is the most collectable. I've seen a few people on ebay selling them, but it's hard to tell how legit they are. It seems like something that could be easily reproduced with some acetate and a copy machine. I realize this thread is for discussing OA and I apologize for being off topic, but I felt if anyone knew about this, you guys would. Thanks'
