  1. Loved looking back through this thread. So many good sketches I had forgotten about as well as some really nice newer ones. Here's my favorite 5, really hard choosing and could have easily put up another 5. Thor Mangila Doug Mahnke Sajad Shah (Yellow holder lines suck but still love the sketch) Johnny D Sara Richard

  6. For Lloyd CGC 9.8 David Finch Ultimate Hawkeye sketch $250 - Sold, thanks @littlebull ! O
  7. Pretty disappointed in this issue and DC for hyping a non-event with 100 variants. Half of King's run is not worth the re-read for me now.. At least I only picked up the Lee variant.
  8. Both of the Batman 49 covers are great but Artgerm's is really good as is his Catwoman 1 cover.
  9. Taken from BeachBum's sales thread. Alex Ross's Set .
  10. deleted, rude post because I'm in a bad mood, sorry.
  11. Johnny D from Par2ch's opp, should be here tomorrow . Ed McGuinness and just snagged this Adam Hughes and Allison Sohn
  12. Nice Ron C, love this Joker! Mine should be here today.
  13. It should come back with an NG grade however it could also come back with no grade like photos and backing board sketches do. Go to the Ask CGC sub and you should get an answer from CGC. https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/23-ask-cgc/
  14. It's been bubbling since before I joined this board. There's always something new and exciting that'll end up crashing the market. Collect what makes you happy and if the bubble bursts you'll still have comics you love.
  15. Of the new ones I've seen that haven't been posted I like both of these. Ale Garza Guillem March - not sure about the cape though.
  16. I disagree with the practice as well and also selling 3 packs to get the rarest version but if it makes companies and stores money then I can't fault them. I'd rather have too much and shops making money then not enough and shops failing. It may not be sustainable in the future but they keep selling out now. If no one was buying then they'd stop printing them. As pointed out ,none of these will be worth very much down the road. It doesn't bother me if DC prints 500k and makes more money, like Action 1000, then prints 100k and makes less. @ExNihilo I'm also looking forward to this issue and have enjoyed King's run a lot, especially the War of Jokes and Riddles.
  17. You'd see that even without a variant market, very few books are key. If you're only interested in monetary value, moderns are not what you should be collecting.
  18. Ever heard the statement variety is the spice of life?
  19. Yes I have but I'd rather have a market that sells to all collectors instead of one that sells just to you.
  20. I'm not understand why you think growth is a bad thing. Is it your brand to protect? I like variants, while I do think they don't need 100 covers for 1 issue. No one is forcing you to buy them, so don't. Let those who do enjoy them, enjoy them.
  21. So selling less books and employing less creative talent is protecting your brand?
