  1. Thanks for that, was able to get 50 more Jordan cards submitted last night!!
  2. The cutoff day for old pricing submissions is Friday I do believe.
  3. This is simple supply and demand. If they can only grade 1,000 cards a day but are getting submissions for 3,000 cards, you have to raise prices to both enable expansion and to try and prevent a huge backlog. They had no way of knowing that they would be in a position to be basically the only choice for 80% of the entire market within 2 months of opening the doors. I feel like they are not doing enough to try and grow faster and limit a huge backlog. I would have raised prices significantly more. Allowing a super focused approach on keeping return times as low as possible, and quality high, similar to SGC, but not to their extreme. A $25 bulk cost would do that, also allowing them to put all the extra profit into growth, perhaps allowing them to drop prices back to a fractionally lower rate than PSA when / if they ever open back up value submissions. Because when / if PSA ever opens they will be at $40-50 for value, almost guaranteed. The only way CSG keeps its current market share or even close to current levels is if they can move as fast or faster than PSA at a fraction of the cost.
  4. Everyone loves to say the problem with these companies and the ever increasing backlogs are from the "low to mid level cards" being submitted. This is just garbage, thesecompanies were built for this and EVERYONE DOES THIS!! If you're not, you're literally throwing money away. The real problem is that the number of collectors has multiplied by as much as 10-20 times in the space of a year. Our Hobby is more popular than it ever has been before, and nobody was ready for that. Not ANY of the grading companies anyway. Add to that fact that last year several large graders had to shut down or severely decrease production for weeks due to COVID-19 and you have a perfect storm to create a backlog for everyone.
  5. This makes absolutely zero sense to me. A CARD'S GRADE ON THE LABEL SHOULD READ THE EXACT GRADE IT RECEIVED. ****AT THE VERY LEAST, IF MY CARD QUALIFIES FOR A PERFECT 10, BUT SUBGRADES WEREN'T PURCHASED, CONTACT ME WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO PAY UP FOR THE GRADE, IF YOU AREN'T JUST GOING TO GIVE IT TO ME ON THE ULTRA RARE OCCASION IT'S MERITED!!!
  6. According to PSA none at all. Look at this 10 I saw yesterday on PWCC auction. OFF CENTER AND INK STAIN ON FRONT!!!
  7. It says "delivered by" and they're giving us a month to get the old priced submissions to them, so really reasonable. Honestly wish they'd gone up a bit more and done it immediately, not in a week.
  8. Weird, grades like that for surface I'd be thinking fingerprints or smudges, but sound like you're on that. I didn't bother with sub grades so I'll never know
  9. CSG has said nothing about their capacity and output capabilities. I can only imagine how many people are currently sending cards into CSG with their huge discount on grading cost and faster turnaround times. I think they opened the doors at a crucial time, and immediately face a sink or swim situation. If they can continue to deliver on their stated turnaround times and at a significant cost decrease over the other guys, they have a huge opportunity to grab a large share of the market, and permanently. Whether or not CSG 9.5 ever overtakes or even matches PSA 10 value becomes almost irrelevant if they can deliver faster and at a fraction of the cost. They would immediately become the most attractive option for at least 50% of all the cards I need grading... But if they fail to keep an updated and realistic turnaround time and fall into the spiral that PSA and BGS find themselves in, it will be a death blow for them. We shall see, I am giving them the opportunity to swim by sending in submissions. All we can do is wait and see how it all progresses.
  10. Are you wiping the cards down before submitting?
