  1. IMHO as a Walking Dead fan the Price for #1 is overpriced and near the top of its bubble. Is the print run relatively small? Yes, but the numbers that are out there in highers grades are is high. Most of the fans now, mainly for moderns, are happy with TPBs and are unwilling to pay these nosebleed prices. The prices realized are from speculators and fan based speculators. How many multiple copies do board members own. Simply put this parallels the housing market where people where buying multiple houses as it was a sure thing to make money. Demand will dry up and prices will fall. I bet within 2 years these will be 100-200 tops. Right now we are in a feeding frenzy. This go the same for CPG actually CPG more so.

Wait till the show hits and mainstream people realize how great of a story it is...#1 demand goes up and the 7,000 copies made stay the same that will equal higher prices then the $450-$600 we see them sell for now.

Your point about being happy with just TPB--what real comic fan is happy with just TPB? I read the TPB of Walking Dead first then I had to have the complete run of comics then i had to buy OA it just keeps going and going

I am done with my rantrant

  2. Great news, peeps. Have been offered a great deal by a great connection on the CPG #1 4th prints. For the peeps that are on my list already and for those that have yet to read this great story, the book will be available below cover cost ($5.95). Great score. Looking to spread Jeremy's work to everybody interested.

Please be aware that I, and another boardie now, are trying to make this happen for genuine interest and that we hope that this deal goes through. As a reminder, the book is scheduled for release before SDCC 2010 per Tom, Olympian Publishing. Limit of one per boardie to avoid over-pricing in case the books are limited in print run, your local LCS does not carry it, etc. The list is still open if you'd like one to read or collect. Final price will be announced once the transaction is completed, but it will be below cover price thanks to the awesome boardie who is also willing to hook peeps up with a great story. 3. I have no LCS. I think the closest shop to me is about a 3 hour drive. :(

Eventually I will get me some copies and then I will be able to chip in more on the discussions. I check back to the thread everyday as well to see what is going on.

I really wish I would have known about this before C2E2. I am just a little late to the party.

    PM sent. (thumbs u

always the savior, nice job brother!

  4. Okay is this some sort of very low print Indy? My LCS owner looked at me like I was kinda crazy when I asked about this title.

Yes, it is and Yup, they tend to do that. Only one of my local LCS actually carried it back when it came out and sold out the first day. (shrug)

I got the same thing when I asked. lol my lcs is a fairly large chain place and they still had no idea.

I haven't read it yet, I'm waiting until I get a different print of #1. I got the #2(1st and 2nd print) and the #3 but my #1 is in some awsome guys hands right now waiting on a SS. ;)

I did browse through my 2 and 3 though and the art is just awsome!!!! I can't wait to read it!!!

  5. "...It's the same cover art as the first print, and on the same papers, but with copper stamping for the logo (the price is still in red) and a small "2nd printing" stamp that I think was in an orange rust color. (Orange is Jeremy's favorite color, so we used this color for him!)

Diamond destroyed the majority of this print run, so there's no telling how many made it out. I would suspect not more than a couple of hundred, but that's a guess. It's sad, they look AWESOME." Tom, Olympian Publishing regarding the rarest of all CPG books.

And I thought it was the #1 1st print that was the rarest. You know me, had to pull resources and find it. Finally got here. ;)

why you always gotta make me jelous bro? :baiting:

  6. This seller is clueless as to what he is selling so I wanted to ask you guys about this Tony Moore art. Is it authentic as he states it is in his auction? I asked him if it was original artwork and he stated that he doesn't know. I could have sworn I've seen this print somewhere...or am I mistaken. It's laminated btw and I'm talking about the single zombie one not the group one.

I thought isoldit was an ebay consignment shop so it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't know what it was.

Yeah sort of like yourauctionhq, clueless, but they should at least know something from the owner. I was told that the original owner died and that it was the owner's wife that was selling it so there is no background info. Hmmm... hm

Playing it safe and just assuming it's a print. I could have sworn I've seen it somewhere. (shrug)

this store is right by my house. wonder if they'd let me stop by and look at them. hm
