  1. 2nd trip to the NY antique store pic; most are in nice grades. Looking fwd to the next trip up to the snowy North.
  2. Great single, bulk and LCS finds these last few pages; this thread always brings a smile. Same store from my last post had some books that cost a bit more $$$ but well worth it. Stopping by tomorrow to see if the owner has any from a list I gave him. Fingers crossed.... Will post pics of the last pickup and hopefully from tomorrow's. Happy New Year's and good luck finding more buried treasures!
  3. Antique store in NY had a holiday sale with some items 50% off. Avg price was 3 bucks for this lot. Have a friend who's a Moon Knight collector so he gets some of the perks of the find also. Wishing everyone some fantastic 2015 finds in the wild.
  4. What a great story! Kick myself for not picking up comics while visiting other countries. Plus... Paris rocks!
  5. Traveling around Northern New Mexico (Cimmarron & Taos drive rocked!) and ran across these. One of my fave niches are the price variants no matter what the title. Reading about finds in the wild keeps me on the lookout even more; gracias for sharing all your treasure finding tales/pics and this thread has taught me tons about other collectible interests. Happy Hunting!
  6. Bravo to a fine movie! Read this tonight which shed some light on plot decisions.
  7. Picked one up a few yrs ago in 'Bama with the intention of using it but now in the garage; took a few pics with some of my fave books though. Didn't sell at the last garage sale so if anyone is around the NE FL is looking for one, drop me a PM. Thanks to the boardies for the great pics and stories.
  8. Congrats on the mixed bag of great items; makes me want to hit up some local sales. Were the comics advertised in an ad or was this a drive by type find?
  9. Started appreciating photo covers late but acquiring them slowly. Guess this spinner rack qualifies as a find (via CL some time ago); time to fill it with photo covers...
  10. My dad travels a bit and he found this bunch in Kansas thrift shop. $3 ea. The RR 2 has been loved a bunch (split spine, etc) but the 9 is alright. Western Comics 3 is the fave of the lot. Happy Hunting to all!
  11. Now that is a great trade, maybe a thread about best trade that boardies have ever completed is in order. Congrats on the book!
  12. 1-8 in this group. Never run across the higher numbers (15-19). Not a Valiant collector but there's a few folks who ask for them at shows. Our local Books-A-Million used to have long boxes for a buck a book; pulled some last issues of Solar a few months ago.
  13. Found this selection at our nearest flea market last weekend; no high dollar books but not bad for 50 centers. X-O's aren't the gold issues just regular with a golden hue. ~Happy hunting to all~
  14. Recently drove from Alabama to New Mexico via AR, MS, KS and OK with Dad... What a great time! In addition to having a fantastic trip on the road meeting people and seeing of the gorgeous landscape, some comics and stuff were located. First find from Eastern AL was the GI JOE (reprint = BOOO) and Bloodshot. Second, The Comic Strip in Tuscaloosa provided the WMD6 and the foreign FF. Nice shop with lots of long boxes SA and BA books. Everything in the 2nd pic except the German comic is from an OK antique store in a one light town. Last book was a local flea market find this past wknd. This is one of the best threads on the boards. Hoping your finds are plentiful and frequent.
