  1. That would be you Sagat Frank (Carebear) paid me immediately after posting the and the book has gone out. He was the first person to pay me who bought anything in this tread and I have had no problems dealing with him. Not sure why he was on the probation list but he has been first class all the way for me to deal with. So why bother with posting this at the beginning of your sales thread if you are not going to honor it ? I admire and appreciate you coming clean about selling to someone who is on the probation list, as a lot of others would do it on the slide, but I do think it's a pity and undermines the validity and usefulness of the probation list. I'm sure you'll get a PM from "Frank" telling you I have some imaginary grudge against him, but I would do this to every one who has landed himself on the probation list or HOS. Why? Frank posted and had already paid me before anyone alerted me to the fact he was on the probation list. What would you have suggested I do in that case. Not sure what he did to get on the probation list in the first place but in dealing with me he seems like a good buyer and someone I would do business with again. Sounds like SpiderDan had a transaction go well with him too. FYI, I have always paid for my items I purchased and delivered when sold. I should never have been on probie list to begin with. I saw that insulting thread about my family and didn't appreciate it one bit but I swallowed that and never commented and I don't know why you insist on targeting me. God Bless you.
  2. Is this the book you got from Bunky Brian? Damn you've got great taste my friend.Very nice book, and I'm sure the Bunky's gave you a great deal too.Damn! Sweet looking book if u paid under 5K for it.
  3. Looks great! And you must be happy to choose it over the others. Wise choice Jedi Knight-Avengers 4 has so much upside comparatively. This book is the most severely undervalued silver age marvel key period.
  4. Holy ****! Wow! That was a crazy price, the stamp will be a turnoff. $20K is
  5. I like horror stuff but its a bad investment long term. Gotta stick w super heroes.
  6. I'll buy 2 copies Marvel Spotlight #5's CGC 9.2's at $500 a piece (the going rate now unless you got fried buying before) or for DC- I'll buy 1 GL76 cgc 8.5 (next guide $2800 in 9.2 to ride the hype)
  7. Which issue was the first DC 100 Pager anyone?
  8. I saw that one too but passed on it- nice p/up.
  9. Photoshoped? When CGC can't make up their minds, they just leave it blank. Asked seller: Any idea why page quality isn't stated on the CGC label? Answer: its not labelled by cgc thats why Huh Uh . . . never mind. Yeah thats my book and yes thats exactly what it means. There is no page quality indicated on that book. Old label goodness.
  10. Beautiful book. Is that the one from Four Color? Always welcome to see it again. Thats one stunning Avengers 4 you have there. Way to go.
  11. Scans please. Are u sure you'll even get the book? Someone just handed $6K to you for free.
  12. Bringings this thread back to life- It was on 2nd page for a week and half. Hope everyone is excited about Thor, Cap and Avengers movies next year as I am.
  13. Just watch out when Stan Lee signs- Most books come back less 1 full grade even when he signs in front of you. He manhandles book and even if he doesn't then cgc pretends to be smart because it is removed from cgc case that they have to automatically deduct a full grade or at least 0.5. Look at all the examples out there esp on older books. They will maintain same grade on modern but not old stuff. Hence hi grade scarcity on 1961-1964 keys in cgc ss. I am stating a fact not an opinion here.
  14. I am waiting for my hulk 1 to come back. I know the feeling. Great buy on the cgc 4.5 at btw $3800-4000.
  15. Did you just buy that CGC 4.5 Hulk #1 for $4200 form another boardie this week? I saw that one sold 2 days ago.
  16. No Stan Lee was the writer of Av#4. Joe Simon (co-creator of Cap) does not get the nod as he was not involved here.
  17. Decided to come out of the closet and join the club!
  18. Decided to come out of closet and join the club!
  19. Boy that looks more like a cgc 5.0. Its a smoking nice copy.
  20. For all you Avengers fans who don't already know- Stan Lee will make a cameo appearance in the upcoming Thor movie.
  21. That has got to be the best looking comic I have ever seen- super stunning. Same goes for the Av#1 CGC 9.4. You got some good retirement $ there. Easily a $100K issue. The demand is just starting to pick up on this-i see no end in sight. Forget Showcase 22 (Green Lantern) this is the real symbol of America.
