  1. Pump it and dump it. Lather, rinse, repeat.
  2. This book has passed the "crazy price" where I usually will at least consider selling it. I am in this no more than $125 total. But I just can't do it. I never thought this book would go past $400 http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=17937&GSub=628
  3. Huge kudos to Robert at Space Cadets for handling books at the Comickaze Kazuo Koike signing. (Try saying that 3 times quickly!) Robert was all-world and I can't recommend him enough.

  5. There are still firms around here who do quarter hours. We have always done tenths.
  6. already did it ? You need a NEW PM, not one that was part of an existing chain. I see that you are new. Perhaps reading the rules that are posted in the forum will help clarify what you need to do. Here is a link to make it easier. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=4949997#Post4949997 BUDDY ... I did sent a NEW PM! I don't need the rules read again to me and I'm not new here via Imgflip Meme Maker
  7. The last time I went looking for newsstand copies was when Marvel introduced the Angela character in GotG. I went to Books and Co., who, at the time still had an extensive comic selection. That was maybe 1 1/2- 2 years ago?
  8. If Disney really wanted to, it could buy Heroic. Probably for less than it spent on catering for the Avengers movie. Then it could decide if it really wanted to do a movie about Ghost Rider, Hercules, Black Widow, Iceman and Angel. Three of which are under contract to other studios, one of which is public domain, and one of which is is in the Avengers.
  9. I guess that would be me, but I just feel like I'm caught in this spiral of adversarial posting back and forth where everything is becoming more about one-upmanship than anything else. If I'm overreacting, I apologize. I'm not upset or annoyed in the least. It was simply starting to feel repetitive, and mostly due to my part in the discussion. In general, the prices from 35 years ago, and newsstand vs. direct discussion, are fascinating as always. Just like I said last night, RMA always makes the thread a much better read. As far as Copper newsstand is concerned, I remember visiting the local B. Dalton and Waldenbooks stores to grab books like Action Comics #662 and Silver Surfer #50 when they were unavailable for anything less than multiples of cover price everywhere else. It's kind of a bummer that you can't catch up on any Marvels you miss at the newsstand these days. I totally missed the boat on the Death of Robin. i thought it was dumb. I went to a downtown newsstand to get as many copies of Batman 429 as I could. They sold me one, and the guy really was kind of ticked off that I wanted to buy more than one.
  10. That is great! I don't think I have seen a Tor SS before.

  12. It's kinda awesome. Just reading it now. By the way he insults people, I'm 99% pretty sure that 4comix is William Zabka. Bill Zabka is probably the nicest celebrity I have ever met. It was quite a shock. I expected him to roundhouse kick me in the face.
  13. Memes aren't supposed to be original. Memes are the opposite of original. That's what makes them memes.
