Definitely not taking it personally and sorry to make it sound that way just trying to figure this whole sells thing out I bought a couple of collection and want to sell off the stuff I don't want from those and a few thing from my collection. I paid more for the books than most people would have so I don't have as much room to sell super cheap, just looking to recoup some of the cost.. Looking more for pointer than anything. The thread is too confusing. You have multiple items and multiple prices in each post. It is hard to tell what goes with what. That is why I opened it and immediately closed it.

If they are still bagged, they have a high chance of not being 9.8 The bag seam and/or the cards will have most of the copies in 9.2-9.4. Easily pressed higher, but as they sit 9.2-9.4

Marvel was doing interesting things at the time as well, but many will not see too much of a spike, I wouldn't think. They rebooted the main characters coming out of the Onslaught - Heroes Reborn (edit - maybe it was Heroes Return - i am getting old). The Iron Man and Cap were both very good. The Busiek/Perez Avengers was odd, great at times, weird at times. I liked the Jake Olsen Thor for the first 12 issues or so because of that evil Pantheon that was whupping Asgard's tail. I loved the Thunderbolts. I wasn't reading Spider-Man. I didn't start reading the Hulk again until Bruce Jones took over. There were lots of other books that I didn't read - Reboots of Defenders, New Warriors, Nova etc. It was quite like the new 52 without the concerted effort. The Black Panther series was good. I really liked the Mutant X book about Havok slipping into an alternate Universe where the X-Men were evil. Bernie Wrightson did a weird Punisher book where Frank Castle was killing for heaven. Marvel Boy was very interesting. Marvel was publishing interesting books during this time frame, and they kept me interested until the rebooting after rebooting started in 2008 or so.

Just out of curiosity, WHY is it doing so well? It's not the 1st appearance of the current Killer Frost at all. It's not her origin, it's not her backstory. It's nothing except a first appearance of a character that's not in any upcoming movies, television shows or even animation. It's like saying "Green Lantern is hot". Then I'd have to ask "which one?" Most likely for the same reason that MSH 18 went through the roof, even though none of the characters are the same as the movie Guardians (Yondu did appear, but that character had little in common with the original Yondu). People will go back to the "first first" and that book will spike, regardless of the retcons and changes that have been made to the character over time. At least, that is how it is playing out right now. I sort of get the confusion with the Guardians of the Galaxy simply because it's a 'group' and there's no direct comparison to some older versions of the Guardians. In that regard, it's not an entirely bad idea to grab the 1st "1st". But it should be markedly simpler to establish the lineage, origin or appearance of a singular character. For instance the 1st appearance of Star Lord. If folks wanted to find that, it'd be fairly easy. To find the current lineup of the Guardians as found on-screen, you'd have to get more recent of course. Showcase 22 will always be a grail, but if there's a 'new onscreen GL' that isn't Hal....I wouldn't expect it to spike unusually. I'd expect the 1st appearance of whatever incarnation of that 'new onscreen GL' to pop a bit. Same deal with this issue: there's like a bazillion Killer Frosts. The one slated for the small screen has no relationship whatsoever to the prior Frosts. Even in the multiple animated series and animated movies: more than 1 Killer Frost has been portrayed. DC is obviously retconing or reconing this character because 'she' is utterly confusing and it'd be much simpler to have the new one be the definitive one. Up until the Forever Evil storyline she didn't even have a proper origin story. That is all logical and well-thought out. I'm not sure the market responds to either of those concepts.

He has been doing stuff for DC merch, going all the way back to the 80's. I can't wait to post a couple of the DC books I got done at Baltimore!!

That pretty much illustrates my point. I hope that Mxwl Smrt is able to get some sort of refund, but no one should have been paying more than 3.0-4.0 raw money for that book.

I was thinking the same thing (when I saw the first listing), but then people were buying them up faster than he could list them and at decent prices, too. Everything looks nice on a 4" iPhone screen. Totally over-graded. I bought the Bat 121 and feel totally duped. I'll post a few pictures that weren't in the listing. Did it look like a 7.0 to you in the pictures that he did post?

I find many boardies act the exact opposite in real life. Which I personally find sad. Love me or hate me or don't care but I like to think and pride myself on being consistent.
