  1. I'm curious...how is this any different then what happened to me?? It's not. You got screwed. Shady.
  2. http://www.myslabbedcomics.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=7307&GSub=629
  3. yeah, I think there might be some call for that. Harbinger #1 isn't a major key, but it's much more of a key than New Mutants #98. Seriously? In some circles, NM 98 is THE key book of the copper age. That, and TMNT. NM 98 is a good money book, and the kids love Deadpool. I can't get excited about a book that has a bajillion copies and pretty bad art. Then again, I do have a bunch of copies of Eradicators #1 so maybe I should bow out.
  4. Read this. It will chill your blood! Chances are that $550 book was pulled out of a $0.50 Superman or Justice League book. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=6247129#Post6247129
  5. Thats pretty nuts. I'm glad I got my copy when I did before this madness hit. Now...to flip or not to flip Easy. Flip it now and buy it back after the movie tanks and prices drop back down to 2011 levels. The flip, drop and buyback . . .
  6. Cool story, bro. Too bad it doesn't say anything about Sig Series.
  7. One of my roommates that only played about 10% as much Nintendo as the rest of us was the first to beat Tyson. We all watched it happen, and I really thought one of my other roommates, who had lost about 350 times in a row was going to jump out the window. This was the same guy that I posted this about last year:
  8. A couple of new ones One from Ebay that I picked up because it had Jose Villarrubia on it. And my Mad Recalled version with Al Feldstein, Paul Coker and Al Jaffee
  9. That is how I know you are awesome. We would play black sox vs. monsters in best of seven after best of seven. When we got to making our own teams, mine were superheroes. I can still remember that lineup.
  10. I played Kansas City. To this day I think JJ Birden ought to be in the Hall of Fame because of how awesome he was on that game. It was still almost impossible to beat Oakland, but I did it every once in a while.
  11. I was curious because the rest of us unwashed masses can't get the grades until the invoices are marked as "Shipped". Aaaaaand, there's the payoff folks. So some submitters can get grades before a book ships? Am I reading the last few posts incorrectly? Don't want to look like a conspiracy nut to all the apologists. Gotta agree, it doesn't look good. ALCOA's numbers were so strong because of all the tinfoil hats on the CGC Boards.
  12. I broke two controllers playing Silver Surfer. Only one playing Techmo Bowl against my buddy that always played the Raiders. That should tell you everything you need to know.
  13. I was the first guy in my dorm to get the infinite lives on Super Mario. Silver Surfer and Deadly Towers are the only two games I didn't finish. And maybe Faxanadu.
  14. I agree totally. BTW, Bosco's #1 was the sharpest looking copy I have ever seen. Also, if there is ever a pent up demand for 9.0-9.4 copies, I am ready to service that demand.
  15. There is plenty to go around. I have pulling books all afternoon.
  16. That is good news. I just want to remind everyone that enjoys Bronze Age books that Emerald City is an unprecedented opportunity with Gerry Conway, Denny O'Neill, Neal Adams, Howard Chaykin, and Mike Grell. Especially DCs!
  17. You need to pick me up one of the LSCC variant Spidey books to pay me back for that smokin deal!
