Phoenix, yes.  And maybe the cinematographer.  Not much else.
Wasn't a huge fan on the first viewing.  He didn't creep me out nearly as much my other top 3 movie villains (Lecter, Ledger Joker, and Javier Bardem as Anton Chigurh).  I enjoyed it, but not a lot.  There was a ton I need multiple viewings of to fully digest.  Initial impression was that I can't really compare Phoenix to Ledger because the movie around Ledger was FAR better, so Phoenix's portrayal didn't stand out as much to me because the excellence of everything else in "The Dark Knight" amplified Ledger's performance so much that it biased me towards it.  Phoenix also had a FAR harder job since he was on-screen almost every moment of the film, whereas Ledger's performance was far more rationed out.  Had we seen two full hours of Ledger he may have seemed more mundane by the end.
I wish this wasn't an origin film.  One of the aspects of my favorite villains (Lecter, DK Joker, Chigurh) is that they seem like supermen, whereas this Joker seemed sad and entirely vulnerable.  By the end he looks well on his way towards becoming the criminal mastermind we're used to, he was anything but that throughout this entire movie.

I’m starting to think this was better than Dark Knight. They are probably tied right now for top but eventually Joker is gonna be considered the best.

By far the best podcast around. I rather watch Joe Rogan and his guests on YOUTUBE than anything on network or cable tv. People who haven't watched  his podcasts are missing out. 
The Joey Diaz ones are must viewing.

Just saw it. The film was brutal, sad, vicious, grotesque....and it completely worked on every level.
I also now get why so many folks were quasi-violently attacking this movie and trying to get people to not go. There is a pretty clear bit of social commentary going on. 
 
I don’t think much about celebrity award shows, but If they still mean anything this movie should walk away with many of them.

I thought the movie was amazing. Very similar in tone to Taxi Driver.
Phoenix deserves the Oscar, without question!

Honestly, I am in shock at how good this was. I am trying not to talk about it because my enthusiasm might give away spoilers.
Looks like Batman #1 will be worth more than Superman #1 now.
Does anyone else get this vibe that the Joker is actually more interesting than Batman now?
DC hit anouther homerun. Can`t wait for Birds of Prey.

That was pretty interesting, yet confusing at the same time.
One thing that does make sense is that maybe the end seen was really the beginning, maybe he planned it in his head while in the hospital, but it actually happened later on hence him saying "you wouldn't get it" because it hadn't happened yet.

I am going to see it Saturday.
