ComicConnoisseur reacted to musicmeta in OFFICIAL bloodshot (2017) Movie thread Bloodshot only
Yes, and not like the Inhumans trash that was on TV because they rushed it and did it cheap with no thought for the future. This movie is "critical" to be a good movie for Valiant to get more movies made.

ComicConnoisseur reacted to musicmeta in OFFICIAL bloodshot (2017) Movie thread Bloodshot only
I've got a few spare copies of Bloodshot #1 that I'll be sending in to CGC for grading here pretty soon. I don't think I have any spare copies of Rai 0 or Eternal Warrior 4.

I cannot wait for this movie to come out. I'm a Valiant fan liked reading the Bloodshot books. I have the complete set 1st series.

ComicConnoisseur got a reaction from Hollywood1892 in OFFICIAL bloodshot (2017) Movie thread Bloodshot only
Depends
Rai 0 ungraded mint about $30.
CGC 9.8 Rai 0 depends on if it`s the glossy or matte version, so maybe between $150 to $500?
Still time to get in on these.
If that trailer looks real good expect a high pop in prices.
This is a very important movie for Valiant collectors. If it`s a hit it could put Valiant on the mainstream map and a bunch of Valiant keys could get their just do.
So I hope that Bloodshot trailer looks good.

Still one of the best comic book cover with such a simple design. I love this artwork.

The first trailer is supposed to be released in front of Terminator: Dark Fate (early maybe Oct 25th/26th or full release on Nov. 1st).

ComicConnoisseur reacted to dupont2005 in Available older keys "drying up" a report from NYCC
I think what is more likely is collections full of keys aren’t being offloaded to dealers by collectors who have nobody else willing to buy anymore. eBay and the various auction sites are selling countless keys every single day. They don’t need to pass them off to a traveling comics dealer for pennies on the dollar because they saw an ad on Craigslist. You can still get the keys, cheaper than the dealer was going to sell it to you for, directly from the guy who decided to sell it to you instead of the dealer. Sucks for comics dealers, just fine for everyone else.
i also think fewer and fewer collections are permanent private collections. Everyone’s looking to upgrade their copy, or ditch it for a different key later. Or, for some reason, sell it because of a financial emergency, not that I’ve ever understood owning a bunch of five figure price tag comics when you don’t have the cash/credit for an unexpected car repair or trip to the dentist.

ComicConnoisseur got a reaction from Beige in DC's BLACK LIGHTNING TV Show from Greg Berlanti
My favorite CW DC show. I hope they make a Black Lightning movie eventually.

ComicConnoisseur reacted to D84 in CW's BATWOMAN TV Show (2019)
It was okay. They took a lot of liberties with the character origin for no apparent reason that got annoying.
The acting was on par with most CW shows. Not Syfy channel bad, but definitely nothing impressive.
Hopefully, it will get better as it goes along.

ComicConnoisseur reacted to zhamlau in JOKER: THE MOVIE spoilers thread (anything goes)
The odds that a mentally unstable 20 year old single low income woman with apparently no external family to help support her, would be allowed to adopt a child in the 1940s would be exceptionally low...like approaching zero type low.
Most social services and church organizations back then actively worked to encourage young single women like Penny to give up their children for the welfare of both mother and child...why Than would they let this poor mentally unstable 20ish single woman then come around to adopt one back?
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby_Scoop_Era
I mean honestly this is all just speculation of an unknown based on a work of fiction that could go either way if there is a sequel. But if this occurred in the real world and she lived in say NYC 1948 not Gotham 1948, she just would not have been allowed to adopt the child on her own.
