    An unconventional pick.
    Marvelman #25
    first Miracle Man
Imagine if Marvel put him in Phase 4 of their movie universe?

    Some history here.

I agree. I say the DC most of us loved basically ended around Crisis on Infinite Earths, while the Marvel we loved similarly ended around Secret Wars.
The irony of both Crisis and Secret Wars was they were suppose to be jumping on points, but history might now look at them as jumping off points.

I wonder what Todd McFarlane thinks about this upcoming Nightwatch movie?
As clearly the character seems to resemble Spawn?
That would seem strange also if this Nightwatch movie gets made before Spawn and beats Spawn at the box office.

Good to see a character created by Roy Thomas make the big screen. I hope he gets a big payday.

A shame.I was reading this recently

and according to Roy Thomas only Mad and Cracked magazines outsold The Savage Sword of Conan in the b&w market.
Savage Sword of Conan was a monster hit at many times outselling the Conan The BarbarIan color comic.
Also info in there that Roy Thomas said was the John Buscema issues outsold the Barry Smith issues. Thomas compared John Buscema to when John Romita took over Amazing Spider-Man in that sales began to really take off.

One thing I found interesting is that not one Golden Age comic made the top 1000 in most active list and not many silver age made the most 1000 active list.
Is it because of prices or that the interest really is not there compared to bronze, copper or modern?

I really found it shocking, especially with golden age. I would have expected at least one GA book would be in the top 1000?

They are great. Loved them but the first two Aliens, Halloweens, and early Nightmares on Elm Street were just as well great, but stagnated with modern times after more sequels. Sometimes certain movies were just made perfect for that decade or two and that audience.
That`s why the Universal Monsters/ King Kong and Godzilla franchises haven't hit big homeruns now.
They were all kings of a certain era.
    Times change. Audience taste changes.
It be like the Rolling Stones or Led Zep starting out today in music. They wouldn't dominate the modern crowds like they did back than.
That`s what happened with the Terminator.
First movie came out in 1984. That`s 35 years ago.
That be like someone in 1984 going to watch a 1949 sequel.

I rewatched the first four terminator movies this week. The first two are still incredible after all of these years. I didn’t hate part 3 as much as I did when it came out. Salvation didn’t really hold my attention this time around.
There could be some good discussions on this movie and the prior ones if people would just discuss it without name calling or implying agendas on either side.
i would say a large majority of movies and tv shows use current issues and steer things toward their beliefs. Its just the way it is unfortunately. You can see it in comics, books, and other forms that I just want to escape into but they wont allow it...
