Wrong forum. Sales only. Try here:
https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/50-comics-market-want-to-buy/ -
One feature of the old site was that you could see how many unread posts there were in each thread since last visiting a specific subforum. This was invaluable in determining how much activity a thread had and whether or not I should invest my time in looking at it (especially in the sales threads, which is where I spend most of my time). Is that coming back? Please bring that back.
I know how to just directly to unread posts in a thread, and I know the number of total replies is listed for each thread, but unless I remember how many replies there were last time, which I'm not going to memorize, there's no way to know how many of those replies are new.

Batarag was able to help me find one of the books on my Want to Buy! thread. Prompt shipment and well packaged.

What's the approximate value of #457 1st Print Newsstand with #000? Haven't seen any recent sales for this specific book on eBay, although some of them might have been sold without it being known.

For what it's worth, I also sent rip67vdub a PM on Aug. 14, 2015, advising him that it was against the rules to have books for sale here and eBay at the same time. He never responded.

Picked up two Avengers books recently. I've bought several books before that. Can't wait for the next round.

Recently picked up an Ultimate Spider-man #1 Wal-Mart variant from masterlogan2000. Swift delivery, good communication = looking forward to future purchases from this seller.

Just scored a sharp ASM 26 CGC 8.0 and the box arrived with a bit of extra padding -- several modern X-men books. Sure beats crumbled up newspaper or bubble wrap. ... Buy with confidence, folks. (thumbs u

Finally closed out my Marvel Spotlight run with the purchase of MS #5 from the board member with the name of one of my favorite comic book characters.

Got it. Thanks!

I'm wondering if anyone knows how the Golden Record reprints were originally packaged. I know there's a full-size record w/jacket and a comic book, but did the comic come inside the sleeve or was the comic wrapped in plastic on the outside, etc.

Just received a FOOM #21 from Sharkey. Well packaged and swift delivery.

When I buy from Rupp, I end up with a freebie or two. What's up with that? I'll tell you - awesomeness!

Picked up a Daredevil 158 and 168 from Soft-Serve a little while back. Solid sale and great to work with.

I concur on the rarity of this book. This "bagged-with-cassette" white cover variant was done with the four main Spider-man titles of the time. The ASM version is probably the toughest to find. (I was lucky enough to find and buy them all at once a few years ago, but shelled out a decent, but fair price.) GLWTS.

Bought a nice stack of Marvel silver and bronze age from Dale Roberts back in December at a great price. Thanks!

Got a great deal on some Marvel silver age books in December. No problems with this seller.

I'd prefer not to get into the particulars of the deals that prompted my proposal, but had I known the shipping location I probably would have not agreed to buy.

I have a topic for discussion and a proposal to amend one of the rules/guidelines for sellers. Not sure if this is the right place to do this, so redirect me elsewhere if necessary.
I recently bought some comics from some non-U.S. sellers who did not disclose their location in the sales threads nor their profile. So I was surprised by the high shipping costs after I've agreed to buy items, although I did not ask up front where the sellers were shipping from. Given that this forum and the majority of the users on this forum are U.S.-based, I assumed the sellers would be in the U.S. or disclose the out-of-country location up front. While I bit the bullet and paid for the comics, I feel that omissions of shipping locations are grounds to cancel a deal and may be a techinique used by some non-U.S. sellers to increase sales.
The only rule in the usage guidelines pertaining to this for sellers is:
8. List estimated shipping costs, times, and methods.
I proposed amending this rule to the following:
List estimated shipping costs, times, and methods, and at a minimum list the country the items will be shipped from.
I do not propose requiring users to change the location in their profile, as many have creative/nonspecific locations (i.e., "somewhere in middle America").
Thanks for your time.
I miss the way the old forums showed the number of new posts in a thread.
