How did the Manchester comic mart go?
didn't manage to wake up in time, hope people got some bargains
Save up for the main event in February, down in London.
+1 I am sure pulling my horns in.

Praise from Silver Surfer, namisgr and Ghost Town.
:
Thanks Barton.

Coming from you Bob, I take that as a massive compliment
, it is hard to find a Kane cover without the obligatory damsel in distress, especially a Conan one.

I bought the Witching Hour 2 Oakland Copy in Sand iego for $60 in 98, got it sabbed (9.6) and sold it on Comiclink about 05 or 06 for $1,200, and just saw it went for $400 on eBay this week from Sparkle City! Man I would like to know the path that book has taken since I had it!
I have a similar story, I bought the Oakland copies of Phantom Stranger #12, Batman#237 and Detective #400, long since sold as raw copies
, wonder where they are now?

Apologies if posted before.

Must get one of those .

Thanks for sharing the pics. Those are great copies. The paper looks so crisp and white. Cool Larkin covers to boot
Thanks, I still hate you though.
Only joking .

This I got last Sunday, from a wonderful fella named Guy.He sells me most of my great books. So sweet in hand, and just something about the cover, not so scary, but haunting.
Awesome book .

Some interior pages from issue #1, as promised
.
More articles on horror movies than anything else, here are the covers of issues 2-4, Bob Larkin at his best.

Will do that tomorrow. (thumbs u

Thanks! I also read on the boards (somewhere in an old thread) that some of these mags--or at least number one has a Thomas/Smith comic story--is this true? Too bad Overstreet doesn't list these or Famous Monsters. The covers are awesome
Just looked through #1 and the Thomas/Smith story is in it."The Demon that devoured Hollywood" .Here is my copy.

To tell you the truth, I have never read them,it was the great cover that attracted me too. I seem to remember a lot of photos and articles on horror films, but that is about it.
-
I will check mine when I get home tomorrow and let you know. No idea why the Overstreet doesn't have them in, and yes the covers are awesome. I was lucky enough to buy the first 4 issues from the same guy, and they are all 9.6,if not 9.8's .

#5 upwards is pretty tough, the ealier issues should be fairly easy.

They are from the Livonia collection that Zillaf4 was selling on ebay a few years back,I won a fair few books from it, would liked to have won more though, they were all beauty's.
