  1. CGC has the perpetual ‘help wanted’ sign hanging. Heard stories from submitters at shows, they have seen someone roughly handling stacks of books for submission because there is only 1 or 2 people who have to work at breakneck speed to get them all done. I’m sure the private equity people have squeezed every dime from the process. If shyte gets lost, oh well, just keep the wheels moving

Has anyone tried to get the registry points updated for these?

They seem low, and some seem bananas low. Of course I say that after I've added a few books to my registry set! All the way up to #22 ranked set 30 Cent Marvels! Watch out @canickusI'm coming for that banner!

Yeah, the 3 points I got for my KC 205 seemed a little lame.
On the flip side the mislabeled ASM 249 CPV that showed up as ASM #149 CPV was a rock star for points lol

  3. For me, I dont slab mid grade nothing books. I use a pre screen for 9.8 on bronze and up non-keys. For books I buy, I rarely get CGC because I refuse to pay for someone else's grading mistake.

But when I do I crack them all the time. It becomes a practical thing for me. It takes about 6 times as much space to box all those slabs ask @jimjum12 about all those slabs I had. Now it doesn't matter much for resale if my mid grade 35 cent variant is slabbed or not. It would on a hulk #181. I just save the slabs for real 'keys' and super low census books. I can hold more books in my limited space for keepers now.

Speculation ranged from Russian oligarchs, rich comic dealers, trust fund kids or wealthy individuals seeking alternative investments from high tech, business, sports and  entertainment fields.

Then there is This guy laundering his drug money

Always thought there was more of this than anyone wants to admit
