  1. Okay, you got me. I'll bite. Can you find out how much it'll cost to ship? I'll send you the funds tonight.
  2. Any possible chance we could maybe do $80 with shipping included ?
  3. @bellrules Do you just collect a ton of copies of the same rare Whitmans that you already have pristine bagged copies of? On a side note, if you could offer me a good deal for both T&J #331 and #332 together, I am willing to take them. Can be low grade copies, since I need to save some money. Was scolded by my wife a short while ago about burning too much money on collecting T&J... Or, if anyone else has those two particular issues available for sale, let me know!
  4. It's probably hit or miss. But I guess I was lucky. Or maybe they shaped up their operations a bit over the last few years after all of the scandals and complaints.
  5. Update: Surprisingly, even before NewKadia promised me a refund (which is still pending), Mile High Comics suddenly got back to me just now with an immediate refund for the issues with their order, no questions asked. That's pleasing to see.
  6. I'm so busy with family and work life that I'm forced to tackle it bit by bit (I hope @aszumilo doesn't mind!)
  7. Yeah, one of the issues they sent me was of the wrong variant, despite that their listings had already properly designated them. Might've been an employee mistake, since it's very easy to mistake the two variants (the only difference is a publisher logo). On that note, NewKadia did get back to me within an hour of me sending them an e-mail (long after work hours). Offered either full refund after a return or a partial refund without a return, and I chose the latter (since I'm in Canada and shipping would eat away at the refund). I would consider this to be an acceptable compromise. Whether or not I choose to buy from them again is another matter altogether, but I would say that if they had a lot of issues I needed that I couldn't find elsewhere, I'd still consider buying from them during a sale, and just make a claim again if there are any problems.
  8. Just inspected the comics in the NewKadia order for completeness. Out of the 23 issues, seven had problems, largely resulting from being overgraded and overpriced. I just sent them a message requesting a refund for them and am awaiting a reply. I am rather disappointed with the order that I received, and likely won't be buying from them again unless they amicably reimburse me for these issues. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that the staff are to blame for the liberal grading.
  9. Just inspected the comics in the Mile High Comics order for completeness. Out of the 29 issues, two had problems. I just sent them a message requesting a refund for them and am awaiting a reply. Again, despite what I've heard about them, this order was very satisfactory, especially considering how they mostly undergraded the comics. No real complaints, so long as I am reimbursed.
  10. @aszumilo Finally had the time to open up one of the two massive boxes of comics I received from my American forwarding company. The smaller of the two, it contained 157 comics in total, spanning 20 different orders from various sellers/retailers. The three largest orders in the box (20+ comics each) came from NewKadia, Mile High Comics, and an eBay store called Cyberspace Comics. I haven't had the time to individually check every single issue for completeness yet (i.e. whether or not they're missing pages), but I'll get around to that at some point for those three stores before I contact them about any issues. NewKadia liberally over-grades their comics. The majority of their comics should've been pulled down a notch for their grades. Clearly, they self-grade the issues higher to charge buyers more, and they refer to Overstreet prices. Although I can tolerate some of them, I must dispute with them over some really egregiously over-graded issues. Mile High Comics was... surprisingly accurate, or hell, they even under-graded many of their comics. Despite all of the negative rumours I've heard about them (from here and otherwise), I needed a ton of issues that only they had readily in stock, so I bit the bullet and took a chance with them, mostly ordering Fair/Good since those were the only affordable grades. The majority of the issues felt like they were graded one tier lower than they should've been. Only a few had issues, but that's just a few bad eggs out of dozens of good ones. Only one issue is worth disputing over, while the rest are acceptable. I'm pleasantly surprised. Cyberspace Comics explicitly deals in low grade comics, and well, I got what I paid for by buying from them. The grading is somewhat hit-or-miss, and their comics were more likely to have writing on them. I have ordered from them in the past, and they seem to be amicable when it comes to resolving issues. I didn't find any unexpected problems with this particular order. Just sharing my two cents about my experience with those retailers for now. I've still yet to open the other massive box, as well as one separate individual shipment from MyComicShop.
  11. Pass me your deets and I'll hopefully find some time during January to send the box over. It will take a bit as my wife and I go through my stuff and pick out everything, but rest assured you'll get it. If there's anything from Canada you'd like me to ship to you on the side as well, let me know and I'll see whether I can grab it for ya.
  12. Let's go with #19 and #12. @The Sledder Debated about #65 for a little, but I think #12 is more my taste over #65.
  13. I'm back. Give me a few minutes to check the remaining lots and what they contain. Sorry for the abrupt departure.
  14. I'm going to disappear for some 30 or so minutes; gotta pick up something at the post office.
  15. What raffle number are we at now? Feels like there's more choices than remaining members left. Or is that because of the people who aren't present to choose?
  16. I can't handle coffee without sweetening it enough either. But Coffee Crisp mostly just takes its signature flavour as a bit of a tinge on the cocoa. It's still like 80% sugar.
  17. Coffee Crisp will prove you otherwise. It's just different.
  18. Coffee Crisp is hard to pass on. But I believe that that Nestle candy bars don't exist in America, so they'd love giving their stuff a try.
  19. Everyone enjoys a different cup of tea or caffeine after all
  20. I gave up on The Walking Dead during Season 7, since I really disliked the antagonist. Negan or whatever. And then AMC ruined Fear the Walking Dead after a few seasons. Put the nail into the coffin for me.
  21. I feel like US-only lots could cover Canadians as well, so long as the chooser offers to pay for the added shipping costs. There's really no specific issues that prevent Americans from shipping to Canadians besides customs fees, but that's on the chooser anyway. Side note: Man, the pickings are getting mega slim, lol. And although I can accept US shipments, I gotta pay for the forwarder's shipping anyway.
  22. @The Sledder Forgot to mention that I'll probably just manually pick, considering that I'm last place anyway. So ignore my list. I'll await the alert for my turn. Also, sold to the highest bidder @aszumilo
  23. At the moment, I plan for my prize offering to be worth about ~$100 USD before shipping but considering how I have two picks instead of one, and some people might offer consolation prizes, I'll probably end up boosting the value of my shipment to $300 or more. I have a ton of stuff lying around that I'd like to get rid of, and it would make my wife happy to see me getting rid of them anyway It's not only Tom & Jerry, folks Will cover shipping and whatnot at my own expense, to USA/Canada.
  24. I planned to include a bunch of unrelated mystery comics in my Tom & Jerry as well. Was a bit ambiguous. So treat it as more of a mystery box than a T&J-centric box. I also intend to scale up the value of the box beyond my initial offering, if the prizes I get (and whatever consolation stuff anyone wants to give) pushes beyond what I expected. I have a bunch of stuff to give away and would like to clear space anyway.
