  1. I agreed with you all. Won't do anything. Maybe the check. He said the tracking number will be provided after the check will be delivered overnight but that was two days ago. I already doubt it and I know it won't happen. He is weaker.
  2. My wife will photograph him while he is approaching to the front door. I will write the plate number. No, I don't have the security camera.
  3. Other phone number is 408-780-2625. His nephew's number. His uncle's (Joey) number is 847-530-9993. Checked on the area code 408. It is San Jose California. I noticed he deleted the text messages on Monday and Tuesday.
  4. Always aloof at Craigslist but gave a try. I knew I may have a potential scammer. First time, I used CL as the seller and someone is interested in my collection WITHOUT any offers or negotiations. He wanted to buy my collection at my FULL price without a hesitation HOWEVER he lives in Texas. I live in Illinois. One BIG puzzle is that his cell phone is 847-530-9993. Area Code 847 is where I live. How did he has that number while he lives in Texas? I checked the phone number online and it is Northbrook area --- only 15 minutes away from home by driving. His name is Joey Charles (that is what I got his name via his email [joey11qc@gmail.com]). He will mail me the $45 or $50 cashier's check (he writes inconsistently) overnight and wanted me to cash it for few days until it is clear then he will send his mover. The mover will give me the check (full amount I asked for) and picks my collection up. I don't think it will work for me but I will try his check at my bank if it is authentic. Should I take the mover to the bank and verify the check that has the fund? Will it scare the mover away? Maybe Joey is the mover. Should I go ahead to inquire him more specific information? What is your thought?
  5. Many planets and rocks are much older than GA/SA/BR thread. Enuf safe to say.
  6. I used to own FF48 9.0, FF49 9.4 and FF50 9.2 five years ago before I sold them. Now I regretted it. The value of those books are steady every year that I would not afford. Trilogy should be kept instead of SS #1.
  7. I used to have them signing my books in early 2000's but there were too many rules that have been changed that have been complicated and more expensive. I saw more obstacles in 2010's and some facilitators became uncooperative and created problems. I gave them up for good. Back in 2008 and 2009, Neal Adams' signature was only $10 per copy and his price is now $50 per copy. I always believe it has to do with the union workers who handle the conventions demand the raises on their salaries and the ticket sales have been skyrocketed in last few years. More famous artists/celebrates are depending on VIP tickets than booths. That may be the factor of the declining of the facilitators in last few years. Those companies like Wizard World or ReedPop have controlled everything with money. I didn't have any fun and it gets hard and harder to have my books signed. No more fun or easy to handle with the facilitators anymore. Simply, I go to all comic book dealers' booths then get out of the convention as I could.
  8. I am sorry that you have to go through the rough time. You have a nice collection. What is your eBay seller ID?
  9. Speaking of Kubert family, it reminds me of Wyeth family (famous AC Wyeth illustrator - nearly all of his children are artists included some grandchildren are artists too).
