seems like when frank miller first started signing again his ss books were selling for big money based on his past. I love miller and his work. I'm glad I held my mud on those prices. I think the only person with more ss books on the bay right now than miller might be stan to each there own. if someone feels their 9.8 miller they paid 500 for is a nicer book than the same ones on the bay for 250 that's awesome. its all about building your collection and being happy with it.

this type of thing is what I was talking about when I made my previous post. lets say that ca announces next week that affleck is signing with them. if what was stated was paid for an affleck sig that person could buy five or six at that price. hell they could even have the sig put on a book of their choosing. I know that everyone wants the hot stuff. its always been that way in collecting. sell all of your rookie cards you paid top dollar for last year to get the hot ryan leaf rookie at top dollar this year. the whole thing is shocking to me. pay ten times what an affleck ss is worth while at the same time a frazetta ss is available for half the affleck price. there is some saying I remember that states something about a fool and his money parting ways in a quick manner

I have over paid for ss books that were rare at the time. even been told the " yeah this actor or director said they will never be at a con again " line. only to see that they then start making regular con appearances and their ss books selling for a fraction of what I paid trying to be first to have one. I know there are acceptations but like I say most times the supply brings the price way down.

I don't know what you are talking about. everyone I know that watched outcast thought it was very good. I thought it got better with each episode. I'm looking forward to season two.

I disagree here - I thought both the modern remakes of 3:10 to Yuma and True Grit were superior to the originals. _Maybe_ the cinematography in the original 3:10 to Yuma was better, but in terms of acting, pacing and story, I found the new one to be far superior. Not saying this film will come close to the original Magnificent Seven (again, as I said -- it needs just a bit more acting firepower to even come close) but it could still make for a fun Saturday afternoon. Just came back from this and it was better than the original. I am a big Steve McQueen and Yul Bryner fan, but the remake blows it out of the water. Very modern take on this classic story. this movie was very good. i liked the way they changed so much but then kept giving little nods to the original. maybe you need to check the original out again. i cant think of anything about this movie that was better than anything in the original other than maybe the fact that the original had more depth and got a little slow in a couple spots

went to the comic shop near my office a few minutes ago. they did have issue three. they had about eight copies. they were only allowing one per customer.

Where in the south did you grow up? I can see Lynyrd Skynyrd or Allman Brothers being treated so reverently, but 38 Special? I don't know any southern rock fans (and I spent a lot of time in Virginia and also in the Army either in the Deep South or around a lot of southerners) who thought of 38 Special as anything other than a pop version of Lynyrd Skynyrd. I grew up in polk county. I never said 38 was on the level of skynyrd or any other band. I'm saying about the time I was in high school they were all over the radio and were played at parties that we had. I love the song chained lighting. when I lived in fort myers I used to go to rickey medlockes studio. he had a ton of people in and out of there. was lucky enough to meet a few of my musical heroes. I was lucky enough to meet both of the caldwells toy and tommy. the back bone of one of my favorite bands marshall tucker.

this movie doesn't have a talking raccoon or tree to make kids want to see it three times. I felt really good about ant man. hell it had Michael Pena in it. we will see. I hope it breaks box office records. I just don't feel good about it and I think cumberbatch is the perfect choice for this character. he is awesome.

sigh, eventually people will realize Marvel doesnt produce superhero films, they produce films with superoheros IN them. Huge difference, and why they are now a permanent fixture of movie making, and will never "slow", or "suffer suprehero fatigue". They are in their own category, which they have created, and many others struggle because they still think its all just "superhero films". ok. I love the movies. I hope this isn't the case but I believe this " film with a superhero IN it." may be the one that slows marvel down. nothing to do with " superhero fatigue " at all. I just don't think this movie will be on par. its just my opinion from what I have seen of the movie. I will see it opening weekend. but I'm a comic nerd and have been all of my life. talking to many people who normally see the movies but could give a about comic books. they are not interested in this character or movie at all. time will tell I reckon. I hope it blows up like gotg did. but I don't think so.

i have never been into the moshing heavy thrash metal. i like to listen to a singer that i can understand his vocals. to each their own i reckon. i will say this my younger brother got me to go to see poison and slaughter when poison was on top. i think that concert had the most beautiful women i have ever seen in one place.

Carlisi is a great guitarist who wrote or co-wrote most of .38 Special's hits. Nobody plays the guitar quite like him, not flashy, but brilliant solos and he can play virtually anything. Check out his website and linked performances with Paul Rodgers. He's also modest and a team player. Must be why he sucks. Well, he may not be a flashy axeman, but 38 Special were a tighter unit with his spot-on leads... Here Carlisi nails the Kossoff solo from All Right Now... .38 Special sucks. I couldn't change the channel fast enough, be it the radio or MTV. Next! bat am i right to guess that you are north of the md line? im asking because in the south where i grew up what you are saying is blasphemy. i remember 38 at parties in high school. some awesome memories
