there is one thing that i do like about this thread. cal has posted so many times that at times he has forgotten to use that third person speak that i cant stand.

only the rock can pull that off and not sound like a tool.

would trade or sell this. thought i would offer here before that other site. the book got a 9.2 simply because of light ink on the back. i was going to have the back sketched and bring the grade up but i just have so many irons in the fire right now.

any book where you add more then one sig and it stays 9.8 is nice. three or more and it really makes the books special.

i have no idea what the value would be now. i bought a batman book from home shopping network. kane was on the show and they were selling the 497 framed with kanes sig limited to 1993. it cost 150.00 at that time. that show with him on it was only a couple weeks before he passed.

speedy-d cut me some slack? cut me slack in what regard? . the fact of the matter is in my opinion batman is wrong. he now knows what happened if he did not before. no one knows that he didnt know before but he and yannis. so to say he didnt know about matt is making an assumption. i will say this. under the circumstances if batman doesnt sell the book to matt for what he paid for the book then i personally think he knew about it. again please please do not go out of your way cutting me some slack. im new to these boards but have been around this hobby all of my life. im a big boy and can take it.

i have read every post on this thread. i have posted on this thread from the start. i am new here and i realize that most of you guys know each other and i dont want to upset a bunch of friends on this board. i do have two things i want to say that i simply cant understand. first off it absolutely blows my mind that anyone can say that yannis doesnt deserve to be punished in some way. i think that should have already happened. the other thing is this. if batman bought the book and didnt know the story he now does. if matt wants to buy the book from him at his cost he should sell it to matt. that is the right thing to do. if he doenst do so it is a move on his part. batman is not without blame here. he now knows that he got the book under bad circumstances. for him not to offer the books is nasty. for him not to offer the book to matt makes me feel he knew about the other deal and that he is full of . but for sure again not offering the book to matt under these circumstances is wrong and makes batman look bad to me. i love this hobby. i enjoy the wonderful people i have met in my 35 years of collecting. i have grails that mean the world to me. none of that means more to me then my pride and being a man and being able to sleep at night. batman ducking and dodging to avoid giving this book up to matt is a bad deal. i dont know him at all but dont want to know him if he is that kind of person.

i have only made a couple purchases off of this board. they have been great deals and have made me appreciate this board. that said. if deals can be made and then broken at will with no punishment where does it end? maybe 99% of the people here are stand up. after all of this i will be leary. seems you make a deal then simply crawfish and shoot that deal in the ars and that is fine? im new here someone please explain to me how some shady back door like this can even be considered ok? can be considered ok by anyone on these boards? hell i can get nasty deals dirty sellers and people looking to screw me on ebay.

i think this deal sucks. i think matt got hosed. im sorry for yannis loss. i even more sorry that people are coming on this thread trying to defend this guy? give me a break. matt was treated nasty in this deal. the only way to even come close to making it right is for the seller and the new buyer to work their things out so that matt gets the book if he wants it. there is no escuse for treating him this way. i am new to these boards just like matt is. i have made a couple deals and i have told buddies about this board and how cool people are and how there are nice deals here. i hope none of them log on their first night and see how matt gat treated. the bottom line is this was just nasty and no way for yannis or his friends to explain him out of it. wrong is wrong is wrong.................
