  1. Seems to me the only events CGC is interested in doing are all these private signings
  2. So, you can have private signings scheduled out to November, but you still don't know if you'll be at NY Comic Con or C2e2? Big shows like that are just a few months away and people who are traveling need to make plans. Or, if you are not planning to attend big shows in-person for COVID or whatever reason, I'd appreciate you make that decision and make an announcement soon.
  3. It’s this f**king overpriced nonsense that’s keeping regular submissions in limbo. Although I say that, how many customers are they really going to get to do this, maybe a handful???
  4. I don’t think I can continue to use a platform where the buyer has merchandise in hand, while I’m still waiting to get paid. Just doesn’t make sense.
  5. So, I had my first experience with Ebay managing payments. The seller paid, then ebay told me I was clear to ship even though funds were processing 1-3 days. Shipping cost ended up getting paid out of pocket. Now that funds "processed" I'm still waiting another 1-3 days for funds to clear and actually have access to the money in my bank account (that's 6 days now before I have money to spend), meanwhile, the buyer already has the item. This is utterly ridiculous, and I don't see how sellers aren't going to just wait 6 days till they actually have money to ship anything, slowing down everything. Thoughts?
  6. They should change the name of the service to "priority" then, because it's been anything but fast
  7. I agree slightly, here. We aren't really getting the service we paid for at this point. What's wrong with cutting down on all these private signings until TATs for normal submissions are manageable?
  8. The really crazy part of this whole thing is that I sent the book back to the seller in a new box with extra support, and that box was crushed by the post office AGAIN on the way back! Really glad this one made it to me undamaged.
  9. Update: found a replacement copy of Tales 33, but going to wait until it arrives safely before I celebrate.
  10. GLWTS! I had a MM4 9.4 up here with no bites, but it sold super fast on feebay.
  11. I just bought this on the rebound from my tragedy. A behind the scenes deal I couldn’t pass up, but insisted on fully insured package.
  12. Totally agree. It's always good to share best practices when shipping slabs. But I think this is a good reminder to insure higher value books for the full amount because things like this can and do happen.
  13. I really don't think it mattered how the seller packed the book, it was gross negligence on the part of the USPS.
  14. The seller is giving me a full refund. I think if he wants to send it back to CGC for a press and regrade it might still be salvageable. But it ain’t gonna be a 5.0 again.
  15. Yes it was packed and padded, it's like they ran over it with the truck.
