This morning instead of a Puma lurking in my toddler's room it was a Spectacled Bear. GD Diego!

Since this is the "Official" personal thread, I will share a story from this morning.

 

A little back story: My 2-year-old is really into animals. Not like dogs and cats and everyday animals. The more exotic, the better.

 

He has been having nightmares/crying out momentarily for the past few nights. Last night, he did it a couple of times, but nothing too bad. This morning around the time he normally wakes up, I heard him scream, "Daddy!!"

 

When I walked in there I asked, "What's wrong, Big Guy?"

 

He responded, "Watch out! A PUMA!!"

 

So, I'm pretty sure my son has been having nightmares about exotic South American animals.

Those are in North America too - we've got them wandering around the streets here, taking care of house cats and such.

True, but typically they are refered to as Cougars, Panthers or Mountain Lions up here, though.

Where's my 1-900-RECAP-ME title?

 

I hope you get it! why 1900 and not 1800? Is that a local line or smth?

 

900 numbers were pay-per-call or pay-by the minute numbers that were big in the 80's and early 90's. The charge for the call would end up on your phone bill. Effectively the opposite of a toll-free call. Not that I would have any knowledge of such things. I've just heard.

My friends and I used to call 1-800 and then make up stuff like hot muff or big tits just to see if they were sex lines.

It came out later. Technically a 3rd printing. Lists it as a 3rd printing on the inside cover.

I have volumes 1-3 of TPBs though. I just started picking up the individual issues.

Is the Larry's Variant a first printing special or did it come out later?

I mean, you can watch it, just don't expect it to be much and it may taint the original for you.

I'd rather get the Kardashian Kard

My wife, who has not read or even entertained the thought of reading the comics, says that she thinks the average joe watching the show without prior knowledge of the comics will want some sort of "hope" or end to the virus or they will lose interest in the show.

I think she may be right, but I am fine with no one knowing how anything came about or how to fix it.

I just read the WD Covers HC and I have to say it was a great getting inside info on the first 50 covers!! Some real interesting stuff!

I got it for my birthday last month and enjoyed it as well. It's interesting to see which covers Kirkman and Moore/Adlard don't like. They are brutally honest in the book.
