  1. I came back from vacation to find some awesome books from Mike waiting for me! Thanks
  2. Thanks. And it's old label goodness too. I'm so pleased with it!
  3. I just got this in the mail today!
  4. Jerel will tell me if I am wrong but, Locke & Key #1: Welcome to Lovecraft arc, is the first proper appearance. There are glimpses of the world etc in Joe hills other books, prior to this, i.e Spider-man Unlimited and Grave Tales #6. Locke and key also appeared in the preview books IDW: Coming Attractions #1 and the tenth anniversary books but I don't know if these pre-date the Locke and Key # Thanks Gaz!
  5. I'm new to this title and thinking of getting the first appearance of Locke and Key. Which title and issue number is considered first appearance? Thanks.
  6. Just received this in the mail. It's the first Barks cover on this title.
  7. Nancy creator Ernie Bushmiller in the 1950's reading issue 152 (Mar 1958). Issue 1 of Nancy and Sluggo Traveltime is on the table
  8. I have this book and noticed that it is listed as an LB Cole cover in GCB but there is no signature on cover and Overstreet doesn't mention it as one of his covers. Would you say this is an LB cover?
  9. I was pleasantly surprised when I received this today and flipped through the book to find Stan Lee's signature! I wasn't expecting it or the letter of certification as it hadn't been mentioned in the auction I won on Ebay.
  10. My guess would be Action #21. Really hard to tell. That area where Superman's cape should be looks more rectangular than the shape of the cape on #21. But, the more I look at the pic, the more I think we're not seeing the whole comic cover image in the pic. There seems to be something about the size of an index card obscuring the left side of the cover, making it very hard to identify. I believe it could also be Action #12. The planet just below the "O" in Action 12 looks similar to the circular object in the photo.
  11. I just received ASM #194. It was secured packed and shipped quickly. Thanks Francisco!
  12. Thanks again Steve for an amazing Avengers #57. It arrived today in perfect shape!
  13. I've run into that before too (where Overstreet doesn't list certain books as Whitmans) but it appears that neither of these books are considered rare or scarce according to Doug Sulipa's website. BTW: Doug does update the list, and often that update isn't reflected on his Website right away. I found this out recently when I discovered a small error. If you want to get the most up to date list of Whitman rares, I'd email him (thumbs u Thanks guys. I'll email him for the list.
  14. I found these two comics among my collection however there is no mention of these Whitman variants in OSPG. Is anyone familiar with these two issues and if so, are these two hard to find and/or rare variants? Thanks Mickey Mouse #187 (1978) (35 cent cover) Ripley's Believe It Or Not #64 (1976) (25 cent cover)
  15. From what I've read on here, production errors are not considered in CGC's grading.
