  1. I think i have seen that book before Funny, I was thinking the very same thing, but cant recall where or when. Pity about the binder holes, but it is what it is. Interestingly to me, there is an interior ad for books that month including #15 itself. If the colors are correct, then "Planet Comics" would have originally been pink rather than red. But all the copies I've ever seen look like this one. saw these books listed on Ebay a good month or two ago. Main attraction is that the page quality is nice.

  3. Did Gandhiji collect comic books, or is that an obscure question?
  4. we know you're a busy man but I think we all agree pics would be nice I want to see pics of GAtor being busy.
  5. No pressure woowoo. I sent you a pic ( they say it lasts longer ) ???? I dunno - my 'puter's pretty brittle these days.
  6. I didnt realise Crippen went back so far. Looks like a very pretty copy.
  7. I think you popped your blue collar twenty years ago. Me, I don't even own a collar. Though I sometimes borrow one for public holidays and Sundays. Still trying to figure out how to iron my trousers without breaking my hand.
  8. I have never seen any copy better. Does anyone have a copy of this book in better grade? Mine is pretty awful - might come back with a 2.0 blue label I'm guessing. yours is similar to my copy which is also a 2.0 type of copy. The front cover presents well but the interior has some bug chew. Yes, I know that copy! Bought it off Ebay from Harley. Nice paper as I recall. Sold it thinking I'd upgrade - now there's optimism! I suppose mine might be restorable but I don't really see the point. Would that nasty stain come out with a clean? Man, it comes to something when we are all hoping there is an unsullied vg copy out there. And to think GAtor once said there is no such thing as a rare Fiction House book. But then it's all relative. Imagine trying to complete the Centaurs, Jeff! In high grade!

  10. It's an outstanding achievement. You and Artboy get to join a very exclusive club. Anyone else out there with a full set (apart from Fish)? I'm nowhere near there yet, as you know - but despite not usually being a completist, it's probably the only run I'd really like to complete. Maybe one day.
  11. Stunning book. Fantastic set. Wonderful achievement.
  12. Yep - the colors on yours rock. Here's mine for comparison.
  13. I think part of the problem is my scanner. Here's a fresh attempt. Still not very good. Can't recall where I got this one, even; had it forever; but no Heritage or C'link scan unfortunately.
  14. I showed my copy to Jeff and he suggested I post it for comparison. Definitely not one of Whitman's best, but I do have a certain affection for this one myself.
  15. That's because octopoids cant cant up to 8.
  16. This one appears to be scarcer, especially in grade - much like #34.
