  1. Today's delivery means I can post the rest in order [thanks GAtor!]
  2. Amazing books! Some very high grade collections are well known on these boards - those of adamstrange, cheetah, Mr Bedrock and others. Looks like yours belongs in their august company! Thanks for sharing them! Some I've never even seen before, including this Atomic Comics!
  3. I especially like that cover. It's very mysterious Yes, they look more like rockets than gargoyles! But the interior art is beautiful! The title fonts for each story are spectacular. The stories are just as fabulous as Venus 17-19. ..wheras in #15 they are a little more "transitional" More use of clean line, less use of spot blacks, but still beautiful. Hard to say whether I love these late Venuses or the three Namoras more, but would you say, Alan, that the late Venuses have gradually outstripped the Namoras in terms of collector demand?
  4. That is one cool book Gator if you like that, then you should really like this that's the Mile High 9.4 copy to the right...the one to the left is on its way to xavier logan, but I wanted a "group shot" first While I'm certainly impressed you now have the Mile High copy What I like most about this post is that you sold one to Russ. I know how much he loves those books and am glad one as cool as that is headed his way Attaboy Gator! In all seriousness Gator is the "johnny appleseed" of the boards, and we all end up gettin what we want thanks to him. I think we can allow him to keep the odd Mile High here and there, dont you, Bill?
  5. How many copies do you have? not as many as a certain well know NY dealer ...I knew it! Thank the good lord you dont collect Planet Comics!
  6. Epson Perfection V33 (from Fry's). They're available on line pretty cheap, when in stock. The results are spectacular (IMO) and it's easy enough to use that now I'm thinking about buying a second one for back-up in case this one ever breaks down (which you know it will, eventually). BTW, you do realize that a "Merryweather" scanner is the same as a CAT-scan, don't you? I'll believe anything you tell me!
  7. These are late Timelys, see? Not early Atlas - 'cos David said so! [May as well post my mini run this time.]
  8. Note to self: must get me a Merryweather scanner! Great looking scans - pity about the books though - dont you have any nice ones?
  9. I especially like that cover. It's very mysterious Yes, they look more like rockets than gargoyles! But the interior art is beautiful!
  10. That is one cool book Gator if you like that, then you should really like this that's the Mile High 9.4 copy to the right...the one to the left is on its way to xavier logan, but I wanted a "group shot" first Nice looking CDNP #24 under there, just casually lying around!
  11. Thanks Walter - just about completed the rivet run now, barring a few desired upgrades!
  12. That whole run from #30 to #46 just leapt out at me when I first looked at the photojournal. They are all greaty arent they? Let's shift the focus a little with Planet Comics, and let's begin at the beginning. Not exactly the Denver copy, but my first ever copy of #1 and I cant tell you how delighted I am!
  13. I did. And then I violated that rule on that first page when I posted a Strange Adventures. Screw da rulz! We want pretty pitchurs!
  14. Ahhhhh, the infamous cover where the femme fatale is somehow topless when viewed from the back! That's a great copy of an awesome book. Nice pick up, Alanna. (thumbs u Thanks guys - probably overpaid, but just too pretty to pass up!
  15. For some reason I find this picture rather moving...
